Shaggy’s real name is Orville Richard Burrell.

Shaggy was born in October 22, 1968

Surrey, Jamaica (age 44 right now). Shaggy

was born in Surrey, Jamaica but he was

raised Flatbush, New York, U.S.A. He is a

Jamaican pop, reggae singer, rapper.

MILITARY SERVICES Before Shaggy was a singer he was Field

Artillery Cannon Crewman for the United States Marine Corps. He had also served during the Persian gulf war.

HOW HE WAS DISCOVERED! Shaggy was discovered when he was

singing while walking on the streets with his friends late at night. He also used to sing a lot in his military services so that helped him too.

AFTER HE WAS DISCOVERED! after he was discovered his first hit was

oh Carolina in 1993. Which was a dance-hall remake by the Folkes brothers which ended up on a movie called silver. His further hits were boombastic in 1995 and the tune for the Levi’s commercial.

has been nominated for a lot of other awards that he hasn’t won like other best reggae albums or best male pop singer.
