THE COMPANY 01

Artic Building Services Limited was formed in 1998 to provide engineering solutions within the public and private sectors.

We specialise in heating, ventilation, air conditioning,

mechanical, electrical and refrigeration services. We offer

our clients bespoke solutions that range from planned

preventative and reactive maintenance through to the

installation and refurbishment of HVAC services. We

deliver a full range of facilities management services to

a broad base of customers that includes large multiple

site hospitals and universities with resident engineers to

small single sites serviced by our mobile teams. We have

demonstrated repeatedly over time that we are large

enough to deliver the service but small enough to care for

the individual.

The depth, breadth, experience and expertise of our

in-house technical teams enables us to deliver a highly

professional and efficient service for all our customers.

The range of services offered means that clients have the

peace of mind that comes from using a single supplier.

SO WHAT CAN ARTIC BUILDING SERVICES DO FOR YOUR COMPANY?

This understanding has led us to develop a Facilities

Management solution that can be tailored to suit your

individual needs bringing together a range of disciplines

including mechanical and electrical services, building fabric

and all hard FM requirements.

In partnership with a growing number of our customers,

we provide management solutions ranging from mobile

engineer serviced smaller sites to resident manned facilities

with fully integrated solutions for multi-site customers.

Our professionally qualified engineering and facilities

personnel are supported by a flexible administrative

framework utilising the latest interactive computer aided

facilities management software. This enables our clients to

see in real time the progress of their maintenance regimes

and compliance programmes.

All Artic personnel have Enhanced Criminal Record Bureau

clearance and are trained to work in sensitive areas with

discretion.

As a customer, you will have a dedicated Contract Manager

with the qualifications and experience to deal with every

aspect of the building maintenance enabling you to

concentrate on your core business activities.

Artic Building Services Limited understands the need to introduce the highest level of efficiency into the way a building is operated and maintained.

CONTRACT MAINTENANCE 03

Artic Building Services Limited has many years’ experience

delivering planned preventative maintenance, working to

SFG20 and always focussed on complete client satisfaction

and statutory compliance.

We have an extensive track record of working in both public

and private sectors including acute hospitals, primary care

trusts, banks and educational establishments.

We employ a flexible approach to contract maintenance,

and are equally happy servicing smaller contracts with

mobile teams as we are with the larger resident engineering

teams working on large multi-site contracts.

We take into consideration what the client actually requires,

and offer bespoke levels of maintenance to suit the clients’

needs.

Upon award a dedicated contract manager and helpdesk

operative will be assigned to the Contract and will be

dedicated to providing complete satisfaction.

The contract manager has overall responsibility and is the

main point of contact for the client.

We also offer a complete 24hr per day, 365 days per year

emergency call out service through our dedicated call centre

and help desk.

All engineers carry Personal Digital Assistants which enables

historic data to be at hand and to close down reactive tasks

in real time. For larger clients, where there is an element

of critical equipment, we identify, source and carry critical

spare parts to increase the percentage of first time fixes.

Our resident site engineers are dedicated to daily

maintenance. In the event of an equipment failure and a

subsequent reactive call, the resident engineer will make an

initial assessment and report to the contract manager.

Depending on the repair task and complexity the resident

engineer may be tasked or a mobile team dispatched. These

teams are fully equipped with comprehensive tool kits and

test equipment.

DESIGN & CONSTRUCTION 04

Artic Building Services Limited understands the need to develop effective best value solutions that make optimum use of the space and utilities available.

WE CAN PROVIDE THE FOLLOWING SERVICES FOR ALL YOUR

MECHANICAL, ELECTRICAL AND BUILDING FABRIC REQUIREMENTS:

Our approach to all projects is to ensure that we know

exactly what the client requires, clearly describe the scope

of works and establish the programme.

We will develop a design with the client ensuring that at

all times this meets their expectations through cost plans

prepared by specialist surveyors supported by the latest

technology and CAD systems.

Once a design is complete we will engage a project

installation team that will have the capability of delivering

every one of the detailed and specified aspects of the

scheme.

Throughout the project the design team will remain

fully involved ensuring the installation meets all the

requirements of the specification. During the course

of the project our contracts managers will ensure that

all accounts are presented as open book ensuring full

transparency with the original cost plan.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT 05

Artic Building Services Limited has a dedicated projects

team capable of delivering a wide range of competitive

installation packages from small works through to

complete plantroom and building refurbishments.

From simple solutions for single air conditioning units or

minor electrical works through to large, fully co-ordinated

plant and services installations, we have a proven track

record for delivering projects on time and within budget.

We pride ourselves on being totally customer focussed

and are always aware of our clients’ specific requirements

throughout the whole process.

Our projects team are led by fully qualified, highly

experienced engineers supported by building surveyors and

estimators capable of taking a scheme from conception to

commissioning.

If specialist outsourced works are required we have

established and maintained good working relationships

with a range of supply chain partners capable of delivering

within a fully integrated programme.

From the simplest of small works through to fully integrated,

multi-service packages complete with commissioning, our

customers can be assured that any project will be managed

in a timely, efficient and cost effective manner.

An added re-assurance comes with being approved

installers of all the main equipment manufacturers.

ENERGY MANAGEMENT 06

As a result we are now providing our clients with energy

reduction and management solutions associated with both

maintenance and new installations.

With higher than ever energy costs and scientific warnings

of climate change, energy efficiency is more important and

has a higher profile than ever before for businesses. It is

an area that is often overlooked but can provide real and

substantial savings, many of which cost very little or are self-

funding.

Our highly qualified and experienced engineers will review

site energy usage and find traditional and innovative ways

of reducing energy costs. We will recommend both technical

and managerial approaches to energy efficiency.
