DESCRIPTION
Serious research here.TRANSCRIPT
Sharing the data
• There are tons of applications on Facebook.
• Clearly, Art Conservation Tools is among the best out there.
• The quality of the Art Conservation Toools application is extremely high.
• Facebook applications collect data and I’m going to share it.
• This might be interesting to you.• It may not be.• I made this application in August
of 2008, on a whim.• On a similar whim, I made this
presentation.
9970 is a good number of sent Tools, but it’s not 10,000 or 1,000,000
But, really does everbody want and Art Conservation Tool?
Over there is a lot of data, most of which I don’t really understand.
Here’s what I think is the most important:
Total Art Conservation Tools Sent
=9970
Requests for Art Conservation Tools Accepted
=5354
Requests Art Conservation Tools Ignored
=1,766
Requests for Art Conservation Tools Blocked!
=12
Requests for Art conservation Tools Skipped
=471
Art Conservation Tools in Limbo
=2367
More Analysis
• 53% of the Tools were accepted• 0.01% of the Tools were blocked• 23% of the Tools were ignored or skipped• 24% of the Tools are currently in Limbo,
and have been neither accepted or denied.• It is unfair to have these tools in this state.
Their fate should be determined. It’s up to you.
• The total = 100.01%, but I’m okay with that.
Graph showing total users (October ’08 to Present). The largest hump in the middle corresponds to the time when
I added the second set of tools.
During the last month there were 838 “active” users of this application.
In the history of the application there have been 1909 users.
That’s a lot of people using Art Conservation tools.
How many people each day look at the About Page for Art Conservation Tools? 1-5, except for a few days when there
were over 20. This data isn’t that interesting.
What about fans? Fans are on the rise!
There are 72 Fans of Art Conservation Tools!
Join now and you can still be an “early adopter.”
I don’t think being a fan means anything, but clearly, you should become one today!
It is not surprising to me to know that my wife is not a fan of Art Conservation Tools.
But the big question is: Who uses the Tools? And how does the reflect on the field of Art Conservation? This
is the section of data that marketers pay for.
I’ll let you analyze and interpret that data for yourself.
Or maybe I’ll call that “future research.” That data is very
interesting.
What’s the Future of Art Conservation Tools?
• I don’t know.• There May be no future.• I’m thinking about adding
scientific equipment tools• And a mount maker
(because the one I worked with asked me to).
• And maybe interns, but that could get dicey. I don’t think I’ll add interns as conservation tools.
The End
Use Art Conservation Tools
Because it’s Like Doing Something
