The aim is to develop a specialist with the skills and subject matter knowledge required to be a participant in a five-day expedition.

navigate using a route card.

(Connaught, ON) Based on the training resulting from this course, the
cadet will further develop specialist skills and
knowledge that will allow them to compete as an
individual in a fullbore marksmanship competition.
This qualification is the second phase in the
preparation and selection of cadets for competitive
fullbore marksmanship at an international level.
Note that cadets who have a participation limitation which
precludes them from handling a rifle will not be selected for
Fullbore Marksmanship Phase 2.

Meet the CAF medical standard described in CATO 42-05
Achieve the CAF standard of fitness described in CATO 42-05,
which includes:
- Run 1.6 km in a maximum of 7 mins and 30 secs;
- 31 consecutive sit-ups; and
- 7 consecutive chin-ups.

and approved by D Cdts & JCR.

To provide cadets the opportunity to compete
in national / international largebore rifle
competitions, to introduce cadets to the

precludes them from handling a rifle will not be selected
for the National Rifle Team.

Cadets must be able to adapt to a different
culture. This can be uncomfortable!
The food is different, accommodations are
different, and the training is different.
That is part of the challenge and the
experience. Cadets must be willing to
accept this when applying for
International Exchanges.

All cadets will complete the same
application form (General Training, Basic,
Intermediate, Advanced Training, and
Staff Cadet)
All applications will be entered in Fortress
by corps staff
Any additional information you may require
is available from your corps staff.

How are cadets selected?
Corps Commanding Officers review each cadet’s
application and prioritize them by level
Applications are entered in Fortress by 1 February
Applications are reviewed by staff at RCSU (NW)
Cadets are course loaded in order of the priority list
provided, however, there are limited positions
available (billets are created for Summer Training
for 30% of the cadet population)
Corps are notified which cadets are selected by 1 April .

because of incomplete information.
Here are some specific items to pay

If you have not participated in the CFAIP this Training
Year, you will need to do so before the application
date and have the results entered into Fortress.

training year).
