Dinner and breakfast served on board.Tuesday, October 9: Arrival in Buenos AiresBuenos Aires is a world-class city of some 10 million people, located on the shores of the Río de la Plata, adjacent to the Atlantic Ocean. The sophistication of this city is evident in the abundant presence of elegant mansions and other buildings constructed in the appealing turn-of-the-century French Beaux Arts style of architecture. Enjoy an evening welcome dinner for the group at a local restaurant. Overnight in Buenos Aires. (D)Wednesday, October 10: Teatro Colón (Opera House), Buenos Aires City TourTransfer to the Teatro Colón, one of the world's most important opera houses, for a guided tour of this marvelous facility. Next, enjoy a city tour which includes the Plaza de Mayo (the historical heart of the city), the Casa Rosada (presidential palace), Avenida Nueve de Julio (a ten-lane wide avenue), and the Obelisk, reminiscent of the Washington Monument. Continue on to the delightful neighborhood of La Boca, the birthplace of the Tango and home to famous ‘Caminito’ street. Other sites include Puerto Madero, the most modern area in the city and Palermo, known for wide boulevards, leafy parks, and extravagant monuments. (B,L)Thursday, October 11: Santa Susana RanchDepart in your private motorcoach for an exciting visit to an Argentine cattle ranch. Enjoy horseback riding or rides on horse-driven carts. The highlight is a traditional Argentine "asado" (barbecue) featuring delicious cuts of world-famous Argentine beef grilled over an open pit. After lunch enjoy a folklore dancing and singing show. Finish your day experiencing the life of the "gauchos" through a roping demonstration.Dinner will be on your own this evening. Overnight in Buenos Aires. (B,L)Friday, October 12: “Pope Francis Tour,” Tango Show The Catedral Metropolitana is the official cathedral of the Buenos Aires capital city known as “Capital Federal.” Located on the historic Plaza de Mayo, Pope Francis celebrated Mass here regularly and lived in a modest one bedroom apartment nearby.Later visit Flores, the Buenos Aires neighborhood where Pope Francis (Jorge Mario Bergoglio) was born, lived and grew up. View the modest yet adequate home of his family. The pope’s father was a railroad worker and his mother was a homemaker. Today it is a 900 sq. ft. two-story dwelling, but it was a simpler one-story structure during the pope’s youth.Continue on to Our Lady of Mercy Church where he was baptized and St. Joseph’s School, where he took first communion and attended elementary school.Our final stop in Flores is the Basilica de San José where the pope is said to have experienced a revelation at age 17, calling him to the priesthood.Evening Tango Dinner Show at Tango Porteño: Enjoy one of Buenos Aires' cozy and elegant dinner theaters, reminiscent of the early 20th century. You will be welcomed with a group tango lesson for beginners, followed by dinner of a delicious Argentine beef or other delicacy as you are entertained by perfectly-groomed and fashionably-attired tango dancers performing the traditional dance with its distinctive dramatic movements. Arrive in Tigre and board your comfortable boat for a leisurely 45-minute cruise through the islands of this unusual natural river delta. Tigre was once the summer retreat of Buenos Aires’ elite with several landmark structures from that elegant era still surviving. After your boat tour, enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. Following lunch, visit the Recoleta Cemetery, famous for its Neoclassical, Neo-gothic, Art Nuevo, Art Deco and even modern styles of over 6,400 mausoleums. Sunday, October 14: Depart Buenos Aires, Iguazu Falls Transfer to the domestic airport for your flight to Iguazu. Iguazu Falls, located in the Iguazu National Park, are like no other falls in the world. Some 250 waterfalls, from smaller less-spectacular falls to the gigantic mountain of water thundering down the huge horseshoe-shaped Garganta del Diablo (Devil’s Throat), Check-in to the Iguazu Grand Hotel and enjoy the amenities of your beautiful hotel. Evening dinner for the group at a local restaurant. Overnight in Iguazu Falls. (B,D)Monday, October 15: Iguazu Falls Full-Day TourBoard your private motorcoach and transfer to Iguazu National Park for a full day of sightseeing and exploring the park’s different attractions. Board the Jungle Train that will take you to the Paseo Inferior (Lower Trail) leading you down through the forest to the river. Second stop will be the the Paseo Superior (Upper Trail). Return to the station to board the Jungle Train for the short journey to the Estación Garganta del Diablo (Devil’s Throat Station). From here meander along the 1,000 meter long catwalk to the highlight and most impressive sight of Iguazu National Park, the massive Garganta del Diablo falls. Lunch will be included at one of the restaurants inside the park. Board a boat for an exhilarating ride along the river getting very close to the falls. Afterwards, board a 4x4 open-roof truck and drive along a trail witnessing the native fauna and wildlife.Dinner is on your own this evening. Overnight in Iguazu Falls. (B,L)Tuesday, October 16: Depart Iguazu, Rio, Sugar Loaf MountainCheck out from your hotel and transfer to the airport across the border on the Brazilian side for your flight to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Ride the two-stage cable car for the nearly mile-long ascent to the 1,299 foot high summit of the mountain for one of the world’s most spectacular views of the surrounding bays, beaches, mountains and the city itself. Enjoy a complimentary cocktail and snacks. Dinner will be on your own this evening. Overnight in Rio. (B, Cocktail)Wednesday, October 17: Christ the Redeemer Statue Arrive at the Cosme Velho train station at the base of the Corcovado Mountain where you will board the cog railway train for the ascent to the summit where the impressive 125-foot high Christ the Redeemer statue overlooks the city. The afternoon is free to enjoy the famous Rio beach areas. Evening farewell dinner for the group. Overnight in Rio. General Information Deposit and Final Payment: A deposit of $500.00 per person must accompany all reservations for the tour. Final payment is due 90 days prior to departure. We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover and checks. Make all checks payable to Magi Travel. Upon completion of your online registration, you will automatically receive an email confirmation to review along with a link to your registration and links to purchase an optional travel protection plan. If you do not receive this email, please contact Magi Travel.

Passport: Your passport must be valid for 6 months beyond the return date of your trip.

Visa: A Visa is required for Brazil. Application instructions will be emailed upon registering for the trip. Your visa will be good for ten years. No Visa is required for U.S. citizens in Argentina.

Airline Seating Requests and Special Meals: Any special airline seating (aisle/window) or airline meal requests must be made 90 days prior to departure. We cannot guarantee seat requests.

Items Not Included in Land Tour Price: Visa fee for Brazil, possible airline-imposed baggage fees, some meals (see itinerary for specific details), Travel Protection and all items of personal nature are not included. Required intra-tour flights are an additional charge of $350 per person and will show up as a separate line item.

Single Supplement: There are a few private single rooms available. The cost of the single supplement is $1,000.

Tour Price: The tour price is based on existing airfare tariffs and currency exchanges as of September 2017, and are expected to be in effect at the time of the tour. If they should be increased, the price of the tour will change accordingly. You will need to indicate how you plan to pay your final balance (due 90 days prior to departure) as that will determine your land price. If you pay your final balance with a check, you will receive a $100.00 discount per person.

There is no refund within 90 days of departure. Therefore, we strongly encourage travel protection. Plans offer benefits for trip cancellation/interruption and more.
