Let Our Family Help Your Family The Five Most Important Estate Planning Documents 1. Revocable Living Trust - Allows an individual to act as trust- ee and retain lifetime control over trust assets. At his or her death, trust management is transferred to a successor trustee. A revocable trust helps to avoid probate and ensure the continuous management of trust assets and the flow of income (usually to the surviving spouse and children) in the event of the grantor’s death, disability or incapacity. Because the grantor maintains control over the trust assets, he or she must pay income tax on those assets at his or her income-tax rate. Similarly, the trust principal is included in the grantor’s estate for estate tax purposes. 2. “Pour Over” Will - Transfers property inadvertency left out of the living trust. This document insures that the plan of distribution is followed; however, the assets transferred under a “pour over” will have to be probated. This document is also designated to dispose of tangible personal property (i.e. jewelry, antiques, personal effects, etc.) 3. Living Will - Informs your family and health care provider to terminate any life-prolonging procedures upon the end stage of a disease, terminal condition or if you are in a permanent vegetative state with no reasonable recovery. 4. Durable Power of Attorney - Gives a trusted individual the power to make financial decisions on your behalf in the event that you are disabled or incompetent. 5. Medical Power of Attorney - Allows a designated individu- al, often either a family member or friend, to make health, medical and surgical decisions for you should you become incompetent. Top Ten List of Items That May Require an Estate Plan Review The following is a list of some events that would suggest your estate plan should be reviewed. Of course, this list is not ex- haustive; there are other items that would trigger a review of your estate plan. 1. Your estate plan has not been reviewed within the last 12 months. 2. Here is a sneak preview of some of his favority moments ... in his own words.

MICKEY MANTLEMy Childhood hero! NY Yankee 18 year career. Saw him every Saturday on TV in late 1950s and 1960s. Met him at Yankee Stadium in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida during spring training. Signed picture for me and gave me a signed baseball. Today his autographs sell for over $500! This picture was taken in March 1995, Mickey died 4 months later at age 63. So glad I went with my client Marshall Samuel, who was then the publicity director for the Yankees under Steinbrenner.

WILT CHAMBERLINI met him originally at the Grand Opening of his restaurant on Glades Road in West Boca Raton, Florida. A great guy very personable. He signed autographs and took photos with everyone that night. I met him again 10 years later and he signed this photograph for me! His signature today commands a price of $200 or more. I have two pictures with Wilt the Stilt! Probably the most domineering basketball player of all time. He won titles with the 76ers and Lakers.

DON SHULA17-0 the perfect season in 1972. Miami Dolphins head coach. Great guy, great motivator, great businessman. Signed my 1972 Dolphins helmet with the perfect record streak.

DEREK JETER20 years as the Yankees shortstop. Future Hall of Famer, Captain of the Yankees. Met him at the Joe DiMaggio Icon Awards at the Diplomat Hotel in Hollywood, Florida. He received the award graciously. He is also now the general manager and part owner of the Miami Marlins. That night I also met Joe DiMaggio’s granddaughter who told me about her memorabilia collection that she received from her grandfather, Joe DiMaggio. Very cool!

PRESIDENT BILL CLINTONMet him at receptions for US Congressman Ted Deutsch. He signed two baseballs for me. My wife told me we are going to the event period! Went and had great time and President Clinton was charming!

DONALD TRUMPPlayed 18 holes at Trump International. Great guy, incredible businessman. Doing a lot of work as President. Good change having a businessman as President. Great day at Trump International.

PRESIDENT BARACK OBAMAPicture was taken when he was running for US Senate. Met him at a cocktail reception for AIPAC, and was introduced to him by US Senator Ron Wyden.
