The project is a bachelor of architecture diploma. I have decided on a hostel because of my passion for travelling and need to improve facilities for tourists in my city.

The building is located in peaceful but well commuted district of Warsaw and the plot was intended for a tourist facility in urban plan.

The biggest challenge was to face architecturally degraded and messy environment and create a coherent space which would be integrating neighbouring buildings, residents and workers from this district.

The plot is long and narrow which determines shape of designed building. The main idea was to create a passage for pedestrians which will go through the building and define the space inside and around the hostel. This path is leading guests and the surrounding into the hostel and transforms the lobby into a public oreo. Furthermore it creates and easy access to public communication stops.

The main path and other directions were set according to shape of the plot and shadowing lines of neighbouring buildings.

In front of the main entrance there is an representative square with a driveaway for cabs and recreation oreo created on an underground parking ramp. South, there is a park connected to outdoor cafe.

The groundfloor plan is clearly devided by function. From main entrance and reception oreo there is an easy access to reastaurant with a kitchen underground, main staircase, information center and fitness club.

The main idea for functional distribution was to distinguish lond-stay and short-stoy guests. The higher part of a building has a clean geometrical elevation which represents comfortable and tranquil long term stoy for foreign students and workers living in the city for a longer period. Lower part has irregular position of windows representing crazy and variable short stays for urban backpackers, tourists and other people looking for entertainment.

In the middle, at the junction of these two sections there is mai n communication and integration section in which all residents can meet and enJOY their free time and social relations.

Each floor consists of a kitchen, terrace and common space - in different configurations - which creates interesting rythm of terraces on the corner and defines londer elevations of the building.

The groundfloor is visually separated from hostel part by materia! and rythm change.

• HOSTEL IN WARSAW

ROOMS' SCHEDULE

The most characteristic romms for designed hostel are residential units for longer stays. These rooms are fully sufficient to ensure normal living conditions. Each of them consist of dark oreo which is storage room, bathroom and entrance space ( corridor) and light oreo - living space with a work and eating place and a bed.

Depending on the room size (the are single and double units) there is a small separated kitchen or a kitchenette.

In the higher part there are also atypical rooms - one double apartment and a family apartment with a balcony which is seen on northern elevation.

In the lover section there are mostly dormitories for two to even ten bedded. This part is very relationship and integration oriented and mainly addressed to young people and those who enjoy unexpected events and adventures.

The building is binding surounding architecture and is a characteristic point which complements the space. The attractive development of the plot oreo is an important improvement for residents and workers from neighbouring buildings.

The project is located in Warsaw, near Vistula river. In close neighbourhood there is new Library of University of Warsaw which is a popular meeting and studying spot for young people. The main entrance is facing small park and popular bicycle paths.

The shape of the building reffers to street directions and openings towards green areas. The main body of the building consist of big sparts hall, personal and group training rooms and entrance oreo with cafe. Added blocks which define the direction of green suroundings flowing through the building consist of conference room, gym and outdoor sports pavillon.

Whole form is closed by dynamie skin which opens to invite people who crave to take core of their bodies or to allow peek another people's activity.

• SPORT AND DIETETICS CENTER

The floor plan is elear and strongly devides different purpose areas. This graphic and readable manner of creating the space is emphasized by dynamie flooring design which flows gently also onto the main wall. Repetitive elements on the floor continue outside the building and transform into modular furnishing system of benches and planters. Repeating pattern connects easily street, public oreo with the interior and facility's outdoor sports and leisure space. lt creates and open corridor which offers an alternative for neglected public a rea.

At the entrance two groups of guests are leaded to different directions - training space and audience space. lt is strongly highlighted that those who are excercising are priviliged.

The project is a change for existing plan which is not satisfying for authorities of centrally located campus of Warsaw School of Economics. Main idea was to create alternative footpath which would connect in one line the most important points on the plan (student village, university buildings and cultural facilities).

Next groundwork of the project was the idea of decreasing the level of the main street in order to get a free open space with a wide footbrigde used for social, cultural and sports activities. Opening of the central oreo and closing of the entrances corners forms sort of a gateway between city center and Mokotów district.

We wanted to bring this attended but disliked district back to the most popular city spots.

• • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • •

Project was a groupwork of three students. We worked together on the idea's scheme and justification of changes we implied. Then we devided the oreo into smaller regions. I was mostly responsible for analysis of public transport and existing function, designing region's Band C buldings proposal, looking after formal aspects of main drawing and plan's legal text which was a part of this excercise.

The plot is located in peaceful part of small city in Denmark - Horsens on a altitude and neighbors the Lunden Park. This residential district is full of old, traditional housing which uses mostly red bricks and ceramic root tiling.

The plot size is approximately 6000m2• Best sun

exposition direction overlaps with best view, which is the park and panorama of the whole city. There are two buildings on the plot which have mirrored floor plans and both are facing opening towards the peaceful and silent park view.

The site plan was designed with respect for existing green which creates natural border for the plot and protects against sun.

With reference to existing architecture the leading materia! is brick. The design is based on simple structure, stepped setting of the blocks and repetitive, geometrical rhythm of windows and sun shades. The building is not competitive to nature.

• • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • •

Project was a groupwork of tour students from different universities and countries. We worked together on the idea and tried to work the most favorable compromise between artistic and technical part of the group as our home universities hod very diversified profiles.

I was mostly responsible for visual side of tender phase (renders, visualization, poster design) and later root analysis and details, wetrooms, fee calculation and law.

The social housing project was a part of Architectural Technology and Construction Management course. lt was based on extensive analysis and was supposed to show us how to supervise a real investment from the very beginning. The major part of the studies were techincal issues as construction planning, plumbing, materia! and costs analysis.

The project is located near the city center of Warsaw in calm neighbourhood. The plot is well commuted and surrounded by another housing facilities. The plot is descending from the street towards green areas.

Height of the planned building is determined by average height of the neighbours.

The idea was to create a pure and legible scheme and graphic elevation which will represent the elegant and elear base. Building is addressed to young and energetic middle-class. Thot is why commertial unit is designed as a small fitness center.

Used meterials and colours emphazise graphic impression. Graphite pannels on the top penthouses and wooden window frames make the building warmer and feeling much more home-like.

Lots of green area which separated the plot from a crowded streets flows into designed garden.

The aim of this footbridge was to connect attended oreo of riverbed in Warsaw subburbs to housing areas which hod very difficult access to this recreation spot. The only connection was a dark, not cyclists and disabled friendly underground passage.

Project takes into consideration directions of existing bicycle routes and main housing areas.

Construction is light, recognizable and creates a characteristic meeting spot for this neglected district.

The plot is located in a small village near Warsaw, partly inhabited by people who work in the capital, but seeking peace and tranquility in the suburbs. Farm is situated in picturesque river bend, which in part was a reason for choosing the additional function - wicker forming.

The farm offers guest rooms and creative workshops of wicker woving, ceramics and horse riding. There is also a shop where handmade items are presented and sold by owners.

Architecture of the houses are strongly related to traditional housing and existing neighbours. Used construction of wooden frame emphasizes the shape of archetypal, traditional house. Wokrshop's buliding is a form which grows out of the ground, which is intened to refer to natural sources used inside. There is a terrace on the root which provides a pleasant way of enjoing proximity to nature.

Designed farm is not only a family house and business but also a facility which serves the local community and guests from further places. With good advertising it is very likely to become a recognisable and attended weekend spot.

The single family house project is an important and personal task for each architecture student. The aim of this exercise was to find a real client who has particular needs and wishes and to create a practital and sensible house for chosen family.

The house is designed for a family consisting of tour members, including two children. Except regular rooms and all technical space, there is a space added, reserved for family members' hobbies and free time activities.

Father of the family is an audiophile and enjoys profiessionally selected sound. His room is a muted space in the cellar.

Mather loves to take core of the garden and seed plants and herbs. She also has her own space in the cellar, but her working room is opened towards the garden and benefits lots of sunlight through big terrace windows.

Both kids can enjoy privacy by deviding their space onto different levels.

The house is located in a small village near Warsaw which slowly becomes "a bedroom of the capital". Most of the plots have slight level decrease. The great advantege of the neighbourhood are beautiful views and proximity of the castle, which is visible from many spots in the village. The main idea was to bind the design to rural rythm of gable roofs.

The project uses levels difference to split many functions and let the household members enjoy their privacy or shared fun and free time.

Two main levels - street and garden - create a natural boundary between public and private space. Big gloss openings towards the volley helps to benefit natural sunlight.
