AUS Utility Skills Demonstrations – Friday and SaturdayAUS and the Utility Arboriculture Group are pleased to showcase a series of demonstrations highlighting some of the technical skills involved in Utility Tree Work.

10:30 AA Utility Arboriculture Group / LANTRA. Talk from UAG members on the new suite of Utility Arboriculture units.

11:00 Pole climbing techniques and equipment. Demonstration of Safety Harness and Ancillary Equipment in the correct method of Pole Top Rescue.

11:30 Safe Working in proximity to power lines. WPD talk of the dangers and requirements of working on trees in proximity to power lines.

12:00 Insulated Fibreglass Rod Demo. Demonstration of the correct method of Inspection and use of this versatile Live line tool. Including Pruning and Portable Earth application.

13:00 Work platforms in proximity to power lines and specialist lifting and lowering equipment.

ARB Show visitors can have a go at the inflatable STIHL Rugby Tackle Game. After impact the machine measures the strength of each tackle and displays a score which shows the G-Force of each hit.
