UNDERSTANDING TENSES

So far we have only used the PRESENTtense when conjugating verbs – this is what happens now. I watch tv.

To talk about things that will happen tomorrow, next week, next month, etc. use the FUTURE tense. I will watch tvtomorrow.

To talk about things that happened yesterday, last week, last year, etc. use the PAST tense.

Spanish has 2 past tenses: (more on this later)Preterite = I watched tv last night.

Imperfect = I used to watch tv every day.
