What is a Thermostatic Mixing Valve (TMV)?
ATMVmixescoldwaterandhotwaterandproducestemperedwaterataconstantpre-settemperature.ByusingmultipleTMVs,thesystemcanbedesignedtopreventbacterialgrowthanddelivertemperedwatertotheenduser,eliminatingthechanceofscalding.
Point of Source Thermostatic Mixing Valves ASSE 1017:TemperatureActuatedMixingValvesforHotWaterDistributionSystemsareusedforcontrollingin-linewatertemperaturesindomestichotwatersystemsandareinstalledatthehotwatersource.Theyarenotintendedforenduseapplicationsincludingemergencyeyewashandshowerequipment.
