What is a Thermostatic Mixing Valve (TMV)?

ATMVmixescoldwaterandhotwaterandproducestemperedwaterataconstantpre-settemperature.ByusingmultipleTMVs,thesystemcanbedesignedtopreventbacterialgrowthanddelivertemperedwatertotheenduser,eliminatingthechanceofscalding.

Point of Source Thermostatic Mixing Valves ASSE 1017:TemperatureActuatedMixingValvesforHotWaterDistributionSystemsareusedforcontrollingin-linewatertemperaturesindomestichotwatersystemsandareinstalledatthehotwatersource.Theyarenotintendedforenduseapplicationsincludingemergencyeyewashandshowerequipment.

Point of Use Thermostatic Mixing Valves ASSE 1070:WaterTemperatureLimitingDevicesshallcontrolandlimitthewatertemperaturetofittingsforfixturessuchassinks,lavatoriesorbathtubsandareintendedtoreducetheriskofscalding.
