> Preliminary Assessment (optional)An optional service that allows you to identify any de�ciencies or gaps that exist in your management system. It is not part of the certi�cation process, but a tool you may chose to use to help understand what the certi�cation audit will entail.

> Stage 1 AuditWe seek to develop an understanding of your company that will add value to the entire certi�cation process. During the Stage I Audit, DEKRA will review key aspects of your management system to the standard. DEKRA will then work with you to develop a process-based Audit Program to map out the process audits over the entire certi�cation period.

> Stage 2 AuditUsing the Audit Program that was developed during the Stage I Audit, DEKRA will select a representative sample of management system processes to audit. �is Stage will also establish a �nal determination of conformance to a standard. �ere will be a closing meeting to discuss �ndings and the results of the audit.

> CertificationA�er completion of the Stage II Audit, the closure of any major non-conformities, and acceptance by DEKRA of your corrective action plan, the auditor recommends certi�cation. DEKRA will then perform a �nal review of all reports and relevant client data. Once approved, your certi�cation will be issued, and DEKRA will publish your achievement to the appropriate databases.

> Surveillance AuditsOnce certi�ed, DEKRA will perform on-site Surveillance Audits at a minimum yearly interval to maintain your certi�cation.

Unhappy with your current Certi�cation Body? DEKRA can transfer your certi�cation in a short period of time. For most standards, including ISO 9001 and AS9100, there is no cost to transfer to DEKRA!

A company may transfer Certi�cation Bodies anytime in the audit cycle. It is not necessary to wait until the current certi�cate is near renewal. �e process is very simple:

> Off-Site Transfer ReviewDEKRA will request the client to submit a copy of the current certi�cate, previous cycle audit reports from the previous regist-rar, and a copy of any non-conformance closures, if applicable, for review.

> Transfer AuditAn audit will then be performed for the upcoming event (renewal or surveillance) in line with your current schedule.

> Issuance of New DEKRA CertificateDEKRA will issue a new certi�cate with your current expiration date within one to two weeks of the transfer audit.

Advanced Surveillance and Recerti�cation Procedures is a process applied to certi�ed organizations that have a proven performance track record of maintaining the integrity of their management system. �e bene�ts of applying ASRP favor the organization by providing more e�ective and e�cient audits to the organization and reduce certi�cation fees to the organization. �e ASRP program places more dependence on the organization’s internal audit and management review processes. �is is done by allowing qualifying companies to rely more heavily on internal audits, special targeted surveillance audits, and the use of input from the organization.

Not only does ASRP provide bene�ts for companies, but for consumers as well. �e e�ciency of the process can lead to quicker e�ectiveness and more e�cient resource allocation over time. In terms of cost reduction for businesses, companies using ASRP will see reduced third-party audits. When reducing the amount of time, visits, and money spent on audits during recerti�cation, companies can allocate resources elsewhere to improve e�ciency and e�ectiveness of their systems.

Management systems will see continuous improvement despite the reduced rate of external audits. While relying on internal audits, organizations using ASRP will spend more time doing normal day to day activities rather than experiencing disruptions in their business or management systems.

�e traditional certi�cation process has become lengthy, involving many visits from auditors and extensive meetings about perfecting systems to meet industry standards. �is process can give both parties a headache from the beginning due to on-site time requirements that don't always �t the way a company or their system is set up. �is is what led to the development of CAAT.

When a business chooses to get certi�ed using Computer Assisted Auditing Techniques, the Certi�cation Body spends less time on-site and more time relying on remote access through computers. �is allows them to catch ine�ciencies in processes and management systems earlier on and make adjustments quickly. With older techniques, corrections that were desperately needed were not discovered until the next time an auditor came by to visit.

Resource conservation is the main concern for most businesses being audited, but CAAT will also bene�t businesses by creating more �exibility in audits and certi�cations through web and telephone conferencing. By allowing remote access to management systems, businesses can be audited and spend less time in meetings with auditors. CAAT is one of the easiest and most e�ective ways to be audited without the hassle in today’s fast-paced business world.
