ST. JOSEPH CEMETERY MEETING & WORK BEE St. Joseph Cemetery Association will hold their Annual meeting on Sunday, May 6th, at 1:00PM in the St. Joseph Church parking lot. A Work Bee will be held in the Cemetery on Saturday, May 19th, at 9:00AM. Helpers are needed.

MOTHER’S DAY MASS NOVENA Mother’s Day Spiritual Bouquet Cards and envelopes are available in the back of the Churches. A Novena of Masses will be offered beginning May 13th for Mothers’ living and deceased. Your intentions will be placed on the Altar. For deceased Mothers’, please use only the Intention Envelope.

NATIONAL DAY OF PRAYER The National Day of Prayer is Thursday, May 3rd. Little Meadows United Methodist Church will have their sanctuary open from Noon to 8PM for ALL to come, at their convenience during that time period, to meditate and pray for our country. A prayer service by Pastor Paul Reed will begin at 7:30 PM. During the hours the sanctuary is open, there will be soft music playing. On the top of each hour someone will to the pulpit to briefly read scripture and specifically pray for those at one of the levels of our government (from Little Meadows, county, state, and on up to the President).

DIOCESAN COUNCIL OF CATHOLIC WOMEN—SPRING COMMUNION BRUNCH The Scranton Diocesan Council of Catholic Women will conduct a Spring Communion Brunch on Sunday May 6, 2012. Bishop James Timlin will be the celebrant at the 10:00 A.M. Mass at St. Peter’s Cathedral, 300 Wyoming Ave., Scranton, PA. A Brunch will follow at St. Mary’s Center, 320 Mifflin Ave., Scranton, PA. ST. GABRIEL’S RETREAT CENTER NEWS St. Gabriel’s Retreat Center, 631 Griffin Pond Road, Clarks Summit, PA, will host a Men’s Retreat. Dates are May 18-20, at the Retreat House. The Retreat is directed by Father Vincent Boney, CP of St. Ann's Basilica in Scranton and is basked on “The Truth Will Set You Free”; John 8:31-32. The retreat will consist of conferences on the spiritual life, time for personal Reflection, prayer service, opportunity for the Sacrament of Reconciliation and community liturgies. It starts at 7:00PM on Friday evening and ends after the Noon meal on Sunday. The fee is $90.00 for weekend which includes meals on Saturday and Sunday. A $15.00 deposit is required.
