with people to design and grow new businesses.

We help people explore entrepreneurship as a career, with the goal of strengthening and diversifying the economy through creation and attraction of new businesses, to

BUILDING COMPANIES, BUILDING CONFIDENCE Ordino launches Drone app on Drone Deploy Ordino has made substantial progress over the past several months. They have launched an app on the world’s largest drone platform DroneDeploy. This app is gaining numerous users and has provided them with important insights into the drone marketplace and the needs of end users. Sweep Energy After finishing their first pilot programs, they have acquired their first two paying customers for their services. They are about 1-2 months away from being able to produce complete units of our device at Venture Lab Atwater. Due to access to the UC Merced manufacturing site in Atwater, they have been able to accelerate their hardware engineering and testing and are preparing their device for manufacturing. The will be able to assemble complete units at the Venture Lab Atwater facility. With Venture Lab assistance, they were able to attend their first two expositions. Their first expo led to the opportunity where they were able to connect with CEO of the California league of food processors, and were able to get a substantial discount to exhibit at their yearly expo, due to the connection from networking within the venture lab. From the access to that expo, they have had the opportunity to develop a partnership with a San Diego company that will be helping them sell their product in the San Diego area. Using the venture labs lawyer resource, they have been able to develop sales agreements and NDA's for partnering with other companies. Due to a networking event hosted by Venture Lab Merced, they are now working with a sales person with 20+ years experience in the technology sales industry that is helping them expand their reach to additional customer segments. A lot of what we have accomplished in these past three years has been in part due to the hard work and dedication of the Venture Lab Program Manager, Cara Baird.
