CARDIOLOGYThis course teaches techniques on how to detect subtle nuances in EKGs, providing additional insight in identifying early ischemic changes and mimickers of myocardial infarction. These key techniques will be taught through the review of case studies and EKG presentations.

TRACKOSTEOPATHIC MANIPULATIVE MEDICINE (PART A) 2019 REIMBURSEMENT PEARLS (PART B)This track offers 2 distinct topics. The OMM portion is ideal for the physician seeking to incorporate or increase the use of manipulation as an effective treatment option for a wide variety of ED complaints. During this segment, learners will determine which patients will derive the greatest benefit from OMM and which specific techniques should be applied.

The Reimbursement portion is designed for all EM Physicians, and will teach clinicians how to optimize their reimbursement for the services they provide. Attendees will learn how to chart smarter and realize optimal reimbursement for their services, including Critical Care, High-Yield Procedures, EKG / Cardiac Monitor Interpretations, Foundational E/M Encounters, and more.

PEDIATRICSPediatric emergency care is challenging for the ER provider. This track provides pediatric bedside ultrasound techniques which will cover abdominal discomfort, as well as the discussion of clinical pitfalls which are typically seen while caring for the young patient. Head-to-toe case-by-case examples of applications will be shown to help decrease the recurrence of these pitfalls.

NURSES, NURSE PRACTITIONERS, PHYSICIAN ASSISTANTS, AND OTHER LEARNERS ACOEP welcomes all emergency medicine professionals to the 2019 Spring Seminar. Learners must complete the attestation process to receive a certificate of participation. The certificates provided will indicate the number and type of CME credits designated to the conference. This certificate may be submitted to your applicable professional organization (i.e. AANP, AAPA, etc.) to receive credit for your participation.

HOW TO OBTAIN CME CREDIT1. A link to the course evaluation form will be emailed to all attendees on Friday, April 12, 2019. This link will also be available at acoep.org/ss19.

2. Upon completion of the evaluation, you will be directed to the CME attestation form to confirm all the conference sessions & events you are claiming credit for. Please note credit for workshops is based on pre-registration, please only claim credit for courses you attended.

3. The CME attestation form will close on Friday April 26, 2019. Please make every effort to complete this process prior to the closing date.

3. Starting Monday, April 29, 2019 all learners who have completed the evaluation and attestation forms will receive their CME certificate via email.

SUBSPECIALTY CREDIT TRACKINGTracking your subspecialty credit is easy! All sessions designated with subspecialty credits are marked with the applicable credit category symbol throughout the schedule. Please see page 13 for the Subspecialty Credits Key. It is the responsibility of the learner to track these credits.

INTENDED OUTCOMES ACOEP CME activities are designed to offer the tools, strategies, and practical skills that emergency medicine physicians and other EM practitioners can immediately integrate into practice to improve patient care and outcomes.

At the conclusion of the 2019 Spring Seminar participants will be able to:

• Alter their current practice patterns in accordance with the latest data.• Apply and/or perform new techniques based on best practices.• Practice evidence-based informed emergency medicine.• Demonstrate change in competence and performance to improve

patient care.

FACULTY LECTURES & SESSIONSAt the beginning of each session, the speaker will communicate their disclosure information verbally to all learners and this information will also appear on Slide 2 of their presentation as required by ACOEP. These disclosures allow for the best possible objectivity in the content and preparation of each lecture and allow you to better evaluate each faculty member.
