OverviewCreative Civic Change is a new programme to help create positive change in your community using the arts and creativity. The programme will provide funding and other support, like advice and mentoring, to at least 10 local areas in England over the next three years. (In this case, local means anything from a few streets or part of an estate, to a neighborhood or a cluster of villages).

We are now looking for communities to express an interest in potentially taking part in the programme; from those who are already part of the Big Local initiative, as well as those who are not.

We want to support ambitious creative projects and activities led by local communities, helping you achieve your vision for your area. We are also interested in sharing the experience and learning to inspire others to use the arts and creativity to make positive, local change.

Creative Civic Change is a partnership between the Big Lottery Fund, the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, and Local Trust.

Using the Arts and Creativity We know this is very broad! We want to know how you think about the arts and creativity and what you might include – whether knitting, singing, drama, dancing, pottery, sewing, writing stories or poems, storytelling, making jewellery, animation, making music, coding, photography (including Instagramming), woodcraft, gardening, cake decorating, film making, community radio, putting on festivals, parades and much more.

We want to help you use any or all of these activities - and the many others not listed here - to achieve your vision for your community. That could mean bringing people together; building connections; improving your local environment; or expressing the pride you have locally and your hopes for the future. In short, we want local communities to take the lead and for you to tell us what your priorities are, so we can support you as you plan and work to achieve them creatively.

Please register an interest by providing us with the information requested in the form below by 28th

September 2018.
