How does Corporate Award work?Designed for teams of eight or more, each CIPS Corporate Award

programme is contextualised to address your organisation’s and

sector specific learning needs, and to support the development of

your business, procurement function and staff.

Corporate Award is a stepped, modular study programme that

leads to three levels of achievement, including full MCIPS

membership and beyond, to Chartered Status.

Throughout, practical, context-specific assessed assignments drive

learning directly back into your organisation, enabling you to

demonstrate a clear return on investment (ROI) and measurable

cost benefits.

At the end of most modules the level of skills and knowledge acquired is assessed through an assignment.Assessed assignments can be, for example, a related report, discussion paper, project, board paper, journal article or case study

applied to the student’s organisation. The final assessed assignment requires a written submission and, typically, an oral presentation. At Master Practitioner level the final assessed assignment is a dissertation (business project).

to make relevant and directly applicable to the

challenges your organisation is seeking to address,

training includes:

• Interactive, industry-expert-led workshops that

incorporate learnings from your supply chain

• Modules and practical assessed assignments that

are contextualised to ensure relevance to your

organisation, sector and geography, and that test

your people’s ability to apply new knowledge and

skills

• Live business projects designed to address your

specific challenges or development needs, giving

you measurable ROI.

to minimise time spent away from day-to-day roles,

whilst maximising the effect of the learning, face-to-

face training can be supported in a range of ways to

suit work patterns, learning styles and the location of

staff, including e-learning and live webinars.

to give you the confidence that your staff have

achieved a globally recognised level of competence,

confirming their ability to proactively apply their

learning in support of your strategic objectives.

The CIPS project management team works

closely with you to deliver your Corporate

Award programme, ensuring its smooth

running every step of the way. Each student

receives the support they need to stay on

track with their learning whilst continuing to

perform in their day-to-day roles. We monitor

and report back to you on progress for

reassurance that your people are progressing

as required to deliver the outcomes. We also

assign expert tutors to each programme to

ensure the quality and organisational

relevance of the training.

All Corporate Award modules and assessments

are fully aligned to the CIPS Global Standard,

giving you the confidence that your teams are

being trained to gain the knowledge and

capabilities required to support the level at

which they need to perform within your

organisation. This alignment also ensures

consistency of capability wherever in the

world your teams are located.

Every Corporate Award level is accredited by

CIPS, the global voice of the profession and

the awarding body regulated by OFQUAL in

the UK for procurement and supply

management qualifications. These levels are

internationally recognised and respected, and

result in increasing levels of professional

status.

If your organisation or cohort of trainees is not large enough to make running your own Corporate Award

programme efficient or effective, you may wish to consider our Syndicated Corporate Award

programmes. The same benefits apply as for Corporate Award, the difference being that your

procurement people join participants from either your own sector or across sectors, and within a specific

geographical location. For example, we currently have Syndicated programmes running for the energy,

pharmaceutical, local government and higher education sectors.
