Speed Maximum 100km/h (Elevated/ At-grade)80km/h (Underground)
Standard as UMRT. Speed atunderground section is slower due topoor visibility.
Schedule 30km/h Speed is one of the mainSchedule 30km/h Speed is one of the maincharacteristics of UMRT. At least30km/h shall be sustained.
Minimum Main track 300m R200m curvature requires speed limit.
2horizontalcurvature
(Absolute minimum: 200m) To keep UMRT run fast, applyingR200m curvature shall be minimized.
Platform 400m Smaller curvature causes larger gapb t d l tfbetween cars and platform.

 ALIGNMENT ALTERNATIVESThe proposed alignment passes through verynarrow one way street named Maha Bandulanarrow one way street named Maha BandulaPark Rd. in phase2. To avoid possibleresettlement and land acquisition in ahi i l i dhistorical area, two options are proposed,
1) Applying Singe Tube Double Track Shield

4. ALIGNMENT YUMRTYangon Urban Mass Rapid Transit
Because of the successive sharp curves and narrowness of existing oneway road,the proposed route runs under the existing Bogyoke Aung San Stadium, since lowheight structure does not seem to have any underground support structures suchg y g ppas piles.
Part of the station location crosses with existing Yangon Central Stationd h b l d /f

ItisimportanttoconnectYUMRTlinewithtobeimprovedYangonCircularRailwayconsideringthefollowings;
MAINTENABILITY Depot and workshop can be shared by YUMRT andexisting railways. This will avoid double investmenton the various railway facilities and thus contributeto reduce maintenance cost.

8. CONCLUSION
1) Technical Specifications need to be the same as futureimproved YCRfor future mutual operation.
2) Actions for development of laws and regulations to allow publicstructures to be constructed under private property need to be taken.
3) Feasibility study needs to be commenced as soon as possible tomeet the operation commencement in 2025 as shown in YUTRA.Detailed studies including implementation plan and financial schemeneed to be carried out in the feasibility study.
4) Coordination with other projects such as Yangon Central StationDevelopment project needs to be wellconsidered.
