• Compensation: Depends on provincial resources.• Disposal: Bury or burn (other options)• Cleaning and Disinfection• Restock is allowed after 30 days
Challenges
• Biosecurity (Investigations, 3D operations, Movement)• Depopulation, Disposal, Decontamination• Movement Control• Swill Feeding• Public Awareness• Surveillance and Risk Analysis (Resources to do analysis)• National Database• Diagnostics: Capacity and Analysis, Efficient Laboratory Network• Vaccine: Autogenous vaccine use
Cooperative Efforts in SE Asia
• Meetings with Department of Animal Health since day 1• Close coordination with FAO office in Hanoi• Partnership with DTRA – BTRP / APHIS• Two FAS funded projects: Funded for 24 months
• Swine Health Information Center• Epix Analytics
• Regional APHIS IS funded projects with Purdue and CSU.

• July 2019: 3D Evaluation and Seminar (Phase 1)• August 2019: Epix Analytics• September 2019: ASF Course for 1st Responders
Future work
• Regional Course on ASF: Disease Fundamentals, Response, Biosecurity
• APHIS‐DTRA: 1. Disease Management2. Surveillance3. Diagnostics
Opportunities for Cooperation
• Disease transmission studies• Pathway analysis• Oral fluids • Molecular epidemiology • Vaccine field trial
