Coral Triangle Safaris (CTS) was established in 2017 from a passion to explore this beautiful country, Indonesia, the world’s largest archipelago with over 18,000 islands.

The best kept secret beaches and dive sites are only accessible by sea and one of the best ways to travel to them is on Sequoia, our handcrafted yacht.

We understand that each guest is different and therefore, we craft a specific safari that will meet you family’s needs. Your choice of activities and interests will help define your safari whether it is venturing out to sea or relaxing across from amajestic island.

Explore

Completed in 2017, Sequoia is a modern take on the classic wooden yacht. Named after the giant Sequoia tree, one of the oldest living organisms on earth, this handcrafted yacht was designed as an heirloom vessel for generations of families to enjoy.

Using traditional, Indonesian Bugis boat construction, the hull and super structure are comprised or Ironwood and Teak.

The interior fittings and mechanical components are integrated into a state of the art American engine room and electrical power systems.

Custom designed light fixtures illuminate the night sky and the underwater lighting allow you to see some of the magic below.

With Sequoia, East meets West with modern, custom-made amenities, melded with Indonesian tropical island beauty. You will be able to enjoy this remote island wonderland in complete comfort.

Sky DeckSailing aboard a yacht is the ultimate luxury especially with a 360-degree view of the most pristine oceans in the world.

Our Sky Deck is 18 x 6 meters platform that offers endless vistas- from sunrise to sunset.

You can enjoy drinks and meals at the large central table or relax under one of the two clamshell day beds.

It is the ultimate venue to enjoy dinner and gaze at the stars into the midnight blue.

The Great RoomDesigned with our guests in mind, this large open-air style room is surrounded by 20 handmade teak-louvered doors.

These doors can be closed to give the room more protection from the wind and rain.

The focal point of the room is large teak dining table, where family and friends will gather for meals, conversation, and planning.

Opposite the large teak table is our customized beverage center, where we make to order coffee, tea, fresh tropical juices, and many other types of drinks.

This is a great area to congregate and enjoy any time day or night.

Master SuiteCreated with every attention to detail, our master suite decor includes an intricately, hand-carved king bed complete with the finest Belgian linen or Egyptian cotton bedding of your choice.

The en-suite bathroom made with Caesarstone offers timeless elegance, bringing your comfort aboard Sequoia to new heights.

Guest SuiteImagine a luxury tree house in the midst of pristine water, in one of the most remotecorners of the world. Enjoy all the moderncomforts of home surrounded by stunning teak walls and striking iron wood floor.

A custom designed king bed can be converted into two separate twin beds according to your needs. This room also has an en suite bathroom with Caesarstone. It is effortlessly classic and dreamy.

Engine RoomSequoia is equipped with USA marine technology. We only use the most sophisticated, reliable, ecological, quiet, low emission – no smoke, efficient system whichtranslates to a safer and more comfortablejourney.

Dive CenterEquipped with 9 full scuba diving sets including 2 for children. The center features a Bauer Dive Mate compressor with large fill bank makes it possible to fill scuba tanks in a few minutes.

All divers are required to carry signaling flags and the Dive Master has a VHF (GPS) radio to use after resurfacing to communicate with the dive boat. This safety feature helps ensure that the Whaler can locate surfaced divers in an instant.

SpeedboatsThe 7 m (22 ft) Boston Whaler Dauntless is the primary mode of transportation for day trips and all scuba, snorkeling, tubing and waterskiing activities. The Mercury 225 HP OptiMax engine provides more than enough power achieving speeds of 75 kmh or 47 mph.

An additional smaller aluminum 5 m (17 ft) Tracker V16 is used for short journeys to shore when the Whaler is out so guests can go to shore at any time.

Under Water Lights

There are 6 separate 250W High IntensityDischarge Lights installed in the hull of Sequoia to give you nighttime illumination down to 20 m (60 ft).

These lights allow you to attract and view many fish. It also adds to the feeling of security as Sequoia is illuminated around its perimeter reducing the feeling of darkness in isolated bays and coves.

The Coral Triangle spans 6 million squarekilometres, expanding across 6 countries from the Philippines to Timor-Leste. Within its heart you will find many of the 18,000 islands that make up Indonesia.

With only 1.6% of the planet’s oceans, it contains over 76% of all known coral species in the world.

More than 3,000 species of fish, including the largest – the whale shark and coelacanth, and 6 of the world’s 7 species of marine turtles, all inhabit the Coral Triangle.

West Papua

The Indonesian seascape of Papua is comprised of the Bird’s Head Peninsula, the surrounding islands of Raja Ampat, and Triton bay.

It is regarded as one of the best diving sites in the world, especially the rich waters of Raja Ampat and its 1,500 islands.

A trip to Triton Bay will make you feel as though you are exploring an area at the edge of the planet with a marine wonderland untouched by time.

Best time to explore is October to April, when the sea is calm and the visibility is optimal.

The Moluccas

The Moluccas Islands were the original attraction for European traders and explorers to sail to Indonesia.

The exotic spices - nutmeg, mace, and clove - found there led to coin the term “Spice Islands” to describe them.

These islands are situated the intersection of the Indian and Pacific Ocean and they are famous for large pelagic schooling species such as barracuda and hammerhead sharks.

Island excursions can involve climbing one of more than150 active volcanoes in Indonesia.

The Lesser Sunda ISlands

Located just north of Australia, the volcanically created Lesser Sunda archipelago begins in Bali and ends in Tanimbar.

Here you will find the famous Komodo archipelago, which is listed by UNESCO as one of the seven new world wonders.

Its diving spots are overflowing with colorful reefs and aquatic life and it includes the exotic island of Sumba as well as the mystical island of Alor.

It truly is a mystical archipelago. Best time to ex-plore is June to October when the sea is calm and the visibility is optimal.

Sailing

Although Sequoia utilizes an advanced turbo-diesel engine for its primary propulsion, the 3 large Doyle USA sails provide alternative and complimentary power when the winds are favourable.

This allows you to feel the exhilaration of wind power pushing Sequoia to its destination much like the early explorers of the 16th century.

PADI Scuba Diving Certification

You and your family can be trained together with our own private instructors.

This training will result in you earning your PADI* divers ID card which will allow you to dive anywhere in the world.

We have all the equipment and staff to facilitate your training in a safe and comfortable pace.

This will be an unforgettable experience in the most remote and pristine Sea-Scapes in the world.

From the shallow Sandy beaches you can learn how to breath underwater, clear you mask, give proper hand signals and other skills to allow you to dive safely.

This experience will undoubtedly be highly rewarding gaining a skill that can be use for a lifetime.

Snorkeling

Imagine swimming along side of whale sharks, stingless jellyfish, colorful soft coral and thousands of fish while staying on the surface of the water.

The aquatic treasures of the Coral Triangle can be enjoyed by virtually any one at any level – the only equipment needed are a mask, snorkel and fins!

Kayaking

Between dives or after snorkelling, you can venture out in the calm lagoon in one of our 3 person kayaks.

This is a relaxing and tranquil activity that will allow you to hear the gentle sounds of nature.

Stand Up Paddle Boarding

A relatively new activity that is gaining popularity is Paddle-boarding.

It allows you to enjoy your surroundings without the sound of any machines or engines while viewing the world around you.

It also burns up many calories as you work your core muscles to move forward and keep your balance.

Tubing

Alternatively, you can choose to be towed on our 2-person tube.

This is a popular activity for kids to enjoy together as they glide back and forth along the waters of calm bays.

Water Skiing

The powerful 225 hp Boston Whaler Dauntless is set up for both water skiing with either one or two skis depending on your skill level.

The still waters of hidden bays and lagoons provide the ideal venue for smooth turning in surroundings of unimaginable beauty.

Dining

This passionate and dedicated kitchen team, creates unique, South East Asia flare from the finest locally sourced seasonal ingredients.

You will be served with dishes that are, meticulously prepared, artfully presented and utterly delicious.

The cuisine of Sequoia promises to be an exhilarating, one of a kind dining experience.

You may choose to dine in the spectacular great room, al fresco in our sky deck, or on any number of beautiful island beach settings.

Cooking Class

The adventure of acquiring local ingredients is both rewarding and educational as it gives insight into how our culture revolves around food.

You will be introduced to many things that you never imagined because in some cases, they are only available on one specific island.

Alternatively, you can enjoy your private and tailored cooking class on the island of your choice.

These skills can be then brought home with you share with others.

Beach Picnic

The best areas to picnic are pockets of privacy, artfully selected and in just the right location, not too far but hidden from plan sight.

Kids Adventure

Sequoia features many tools and activities for kids to enjoy.

They can do many of these activities on their own such as drawing books, puzzle, origami, handcraft from Decopath, volleyball, soccer, freesbie, and kites.

Deep Sea Fishing

Imagine heading into the open water when the sun is shining, the drinks are icy and the fish are biting.

With the expertise of our captain and crew and some assistance from our sophisticated “FishFinder” from Garmin, you will find the very best spots for tuna or wahoo.

We apply catch and release for all endangered species fish.

This activity can only be done outside Marine Pro-tection Areas and No Take Zones.

Cinema Under The Stars

Finish your afternoon with tea or a cocktail while you become mesmerized by the romantic sunset of equatorial Indonesia.

Continue with dinner under the stars with Sequoia’s underwater hull lights on to illuminate the sea around you with the music of your choice playing in the background.

End your night with a romantic “under the stars” movie cinema up in our sky deck or on a pristine beach.

Island Exploration

The Coral Triangle is comprised of thousands of magical Islands each unique in terms of landscapes and culture.

We will tailor your island adventure to include activities such as hiking, treks up a volcano, and shopping in local markets.

You will be brought to local tribes to witness an-cient handicraft production such as Ikat weaving as well traditional celebratory dance routines.

Birding

Watching birds through the binoculars is becoming more popular every year.

It offers an opportunity to spend time outdoors with loved ones examining their beauty and the complexity of avian social interactions.

It also allows you to “enjoy the moment” and become one with nature while you try to determine the species under the lens.
