From the Senior Chaplain

The 23rd Annual Broyles Mission Conference starts in just four days and we are looking forward to seeing you there! It is truly a privilege to be a part of this important event and to know that our Chapel is making such an incredible difference in people’s lives, here at home and around the world.

Don’t forget to pick up your complimentary dinner tickets at Stand-Around today.

This week we ask you to pray for No Longer Bound and all the organizations that minister to men and women who are suffering from addiction or are the victims of abuse, or family discord (Abba House, Appalachian Children Center, Atlanta Mission, Cherokee Family Violence Center, Dawson Family Connection, Eagle Ranch, Hope House, Joy House, NOA, Penfield Christian Home, Pickens Family Partners, and Ruth House).

“Gracious Lord, you and you alone can truly set us free. Free-dom comes from you. It is Christ that came to break the chains of oppression and set the captives free. Lord, too many in our com-munity and in our world are held captive to drugs and alcohol. Lord, they seek release from pain and suffering through these things which only bring more pain and destruction. Lord, we pray that you would open their hearts to you that you might bring healing to the hurts and restoration of their lives. Lord, we know that addiction has consequences in the families as well and we see violence to women and children. Lord, we pray that you would protect these innocent victims of abuse, give them comfort and safety. As your church, help us to see the need and reach out to help. Lord, we pray especially for those at No Longer Bound, may they truly find freedom in You. Be with the director, coun-selors and volunteers who work with the men, may they have wisdom, understanding and patience as they serve. In the name of Jesus, our only salvation. Amen.”

Blessings,

Len
