Item No. 23 To approve the recommendations of the SSPC regarding award of

medals and prizes to the students during the Convocation to be held on February 23, 2015.

The Chairperson, SSPC, vide letter dated January 27, 2015 has submitted the list of the awardees for various prizes and medals, to be awarded during the Convocation to be held on February 23, 2015. Letter dated January 27, 2015 of Chairperson, SSPC is placed at AP-125 to AP-137 for approval of the Senate. Item No. 24 To consider and approve the modified BT/BS/dual Degree/double

Major/minor Course templates of various Departments.

The Chairperson, SUGC vide letter dated January 27, 2015 has submitted that annexure-II of UG Manual containing course template related information was approved by the Senate in its 2014-15/2nd meeting held on October 10, 2014 for the departments who had submitted their templates. While implementing these templates, it was noticed that the templates were confusing and not self-explanatory due to which students may get confused while registering for the right course. To make it more appropriate and comprehensible, departments whose templates were approved in the last Senate meeting were referred back to review their templates and those who were not able to submit till last meeting were requested to submit their modified version of templates. Letter dated January 27, 2015 of Chairperson, SUGC is placed at AP-138 to AP-181 for consideration and approval of the Senate. Item No. 25 To consider and authorize Chairman, Senate to approve the

additional list of students who complete their academic programme at a later date and also to authorize for approving final version of citation to be mentioned on the Honorary Degrees.

DOAA vide letter dated January 27, 2015 has requested the Senate, to authorize Chairman, Senate to approve the additional list of students who complete their academic programme at a later date, before Convocation and any other academic issues related to Convocation and also to approve the final version of Citation to be mentioned on the Honorary Degrees to be awarded to Prof. Rakesh Jain and Prof. T V Ramakrishnan. Letter dated January 27, 2015 of DOAA is placed at AP-182 for consideration of the Senate.
