Consisted of spring, summer, autumn and winter. Which were each a violin concerto.
Each season had a different texture, which matches the feel of the season. Spring is the first, it depicts birds singing and new life springing up. Summer in next and it depicts the scorching heat and how things get somewhat crazy, autumn is about the festivities, dancing and giving thanks for the harvest, winter seems to be bitter cold with harsh winds and weather.
The piece was published in 1725This was most famous in France. Spring was the favorite of
King Louis XV, who often had it played for him at random.
