The ABYWA works with the marinas and the Antigua and Barbuda Marine Association to ensure that work provided to yachts is done by varnishers, painters and other craftsmen with the necessary skills and experience. All members must wear a valid ID card which details their name and their specific field of work vetted by the association. Just ask and they will present their ID to you. If they are not a member you know they have not been vetted by the ABYWA.

HIKING There are many groups who now hike all over the island regularly. Antigua Hash House Harriers - drinkers with a running problem - explore every second Saturday. There are also many marked trails around English Harbour starting from Galleon Beach or the Dockyard and from Wallings Reserve.

YOGAYoga Antigua keeps an update to date list of classes taking place at locations around the island.

BOOT CAMP3 mornings a week on Falmouth Harbour Cricket ground at 6.30am. All levels welcome.

GYM & CLASSESEnergie in English Harbour and Jolly Harbour Gym have full equipped gyms along with upstairs at the Antigua Yacht Club Marina. Classes also take place at Energie.

DANCE CLASSESThe National Sailing Academy host classes on the stage and the grass. Tuesday’s at 5.30pm Salsa Workout, Thursday at 5.30 pm Belly Dancing.

SAILING & WATERSPORTSDinghy sailing lessons and rentals are available at Antigua Yacht Club and the National Sailing Academy with the latter offering RYA Courses along with Kayak and SUP rental.

RACQUET SPORTSLucky Eddi’s (formerly Temo Sports) offer both tennis and squash at the newly refurbished venue in English Harbour

DIVING AND SNORKELINGA number of Dive Shops are located around English Harbour and Jolly Harbour. Dive Carib and Soul Immersions are based in English Harbour, Indigo Divers in Jolly Harbour. There is some great snorkeling to the south side of Galleon Beach; the western side of Pigeon Point beach; Long Bay and Cades Reef.

KITESURFINGThe best spots are Green Island, Nonsuch Bay and Jabberwock Beach. 4o Knots and Antigua Windsurf both offer lessons.

TOUCH RUGBYAn active Touch Rugby Vlub operates twice a week, Tuesdays and Thursdays at Falmouth Harbour Cricket Ground. Games are casual and anyone can turn up at 5pm.
