TIME TO VOTE – ARE YOU A DEMOCRAT OR REPUBLICAN OR ???? WHATEVER – VOTE BIBLICAL VALUES!!!by John Fisco

We highly recommend the new DECISION magazine that has just been published by the Billy Graham Association – the 2016 Election Special!

Have you noticed that most peo-ple don’t like either candidate? Does that surprise you? Guess what, NO ONE IS PERFECT and there will never be a perfect can-didate running. And, make sure none of us (you included) run, NO PERFECTION anywhere. Yet we are looking for that kind of person to run for any offi ce. It won’t happen – ever. So you won’t vote for anyone right? There is NOTHING BIBLICAL about that statement. It is your duty to vote. After a lot of prayer, God does have the power to lead you in the direction that He wants you to vote. Reminder, that in the end, the total election is in God’s sovereign hand. But what is missing today is the power of PRAYER. After you pray you’ll be able to make a better choice than before. Bottom Line? P R A Y

MY HOPE MINISTRY LAUNCHED ONLINE SEPTEMBER 1ST

“Decisions” fi lm available as a free evangelism tool for churches, in-dividuals and organizations.

Over the last 12 years, millions around the world have heard the Gospel through My Hope, a ministry of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association. My Hope is set to launch an all-new 30-minute program entitled “Decisions” which will be accessible—free of charge—any-where via television broadcast, internet streaming and DVD.

“Decisions” features a Gospel message from Franklin Graham, presi-dent and CEO of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, and looks at the lives of people of different ages and backgrounds who have heard the Gospel through Graham’s 2016 Decision America Tour and made life-changing decisions to follow Christ.

“I’ve been talking to people about the importance of decisions. I see thousands of people faced with a choice… and I want [them] to know the truth,” said Franklin Graham. “Any time you have a crowd of people, I can guarantee there will be somebody in that crowd that doesn’t know Jesus Christ. So, every time I’m at the microphone I’m going to give the Gospel.”

Through the Decision America Tour, Franklin Graham is holding prayer rallies in each state capital encouraging Christians to vote, to live out their faith in every part of their lives, and to pray for our nation. As the tour travels to all 50 states in 2016, Graham is present-

A Word from the Heart: Are You Confident?By John Duckhorn

The Christian life ought to be the easiest life to live. God has given to us, in the re-deeming Savior, “all things that pertain to life and Godliness through the knowledge of Him who called us by His glory and virtue”. We have heard many talks about just resting in the Lord and trusting in Him. If we have read the scriptures we are not ignorant of this and usually seek to do it.

However, even if we have a few good days of “resting”, and peace seems to come easily, something will soon come along and upset the apple cart. So we once again enter a time of anxiety, confusion and struggle. This, by the way, seems to be the primary course for the vast majority of believers. As a result we spend an inordinate amount of time in in-trospection. This time of self-awareness can become a major distraction and a huge time waster.

Believers understand that their hearts are still sinful and sin is deceitful. So we pick around in the trash bin of our heart for the mistakes that we have made. We wonder what our gracious Savior is thinking or do-ing. Thus it gets worse and we feel unsure of our actions and, well, we could carry this on and on.

Our Lord made it clear that in this world we will have trials. He has not promised a smooth life or that we will always under-

stand exactly what He is doing. He has not prom-ised us that we will never be surprised by unexpect-ed diffi culties. His grace is suffi cient for us. But that again takes us back to a favorite verse and might leave us wondering where we have failed.

Why did you come to Je-sus as your personal Sav-ior? We must sort things out and there is no better place to begin then going back to our expectations of salvation. Jesus Christ came into the world to save sinners. Salvation from the penalty of sin brings joy and relief to us. One ques-tion we will never have to answer is “do I have eternal life”? What a delight it is to live your life with the certainty of God’s accep-tance of us based entirely on the completed work of Christ.

Before long, we begin to discover the world does not actually do us any favors. The world, the fl esh and the devil were now behind us, pushing us along the path with ease. Relationships sour, the work environ-ment might be a daily test for us, and our minds can be easily disturbed by the con-

versation of our co-work-ers. We will fi nd that our fl esh likes it. We want the fl esh to dramatically change, but it doesn’t. The scriptural teaching that it is still a force, and is not wiped out, can cause us to throw in the towel and let up in our daily battle.

The devil knows the weak link in our chain. He no doubt will try to break the strength of our daily life in Christ at that very point. He will do anything

to remove our confi dence in our Lord, put the focus on our struggles, and cause us to doubt that we can live a life pleasing to Je-sus Christ.

What then should we do? I am not suggest-ing we limp along or be defeated. A good portion of scripture to read is the gospel John, chapters 14-17. We hear a soon to be crucifi ed Savior pointing out to the disciples His complete understanding of what we will go through. We fi nd many words of encour-agement, from Him, to place our focus on Him and His continual presence with us not on our trials.

ing the simple truth of the Gospel—the hope found through a re-lationship with Jesus Christ.

“Decisions,” the 2016 installment of the evan-gelistic fi lms available from My Hope, follows in succession of previ-ous fi lms: “Value of a Soul” (2015); “Heav-en” (2014); and “The Cross” (2013). Begin-ning Sept. 1, churches and individuals will be able to download the full program or view it at that time at www.MyHopewithBillyGra-ham.org. A free DVD version of “Decisions,” including “A Time for Decision: Pray, Vote, Engage,” a special 30-minute program that goes behind the scenes of the Decision America Tour, will also be available. Pre-orders are now being taken with shipment expected in early fall.

“Decisions,” will also be shown as the Billy Graham television special airing on local and Christian networks beginning Oct. 10. Check lo-cal listings for airings in your area.

“We are very happy to offer this resource to the church which will powerfully present the Gospel of Jesus Christ,” said Steve Rhoads, vice president of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, who is responsible for My Hope globally. “The church in the United States has a unique opportunity at this moment to proclaim Jesus, who offers hope and redemption to a lost world. We pray that the good

news will be preached and that God will bring a revival to His people.”

For more information on My Hope, including tips on how the avail-able free resources can be used, visit www.My-HopewithBillyGraham.org. You can participate by pre-ordering your free copy of “Decisions” and beginning to pray and prepare for an event in your community.

This year, My Hope fi eld representatives across the nation have been meeting and encouraging local pastors in their efforts to reach peo-ple with the Gospel. In addition to last year’s fi lm titled “Value of a Soul,” churches continue to use other fi lms like “Heaven,” “Defi n-ing Moments,” and “The Cross,” which collectively have seen near-ly 2.25 million views on YouTube and more than 1 million copies distributed on DVD.

Controversial Atheist Movie to Premiere at Noah’s ArkThe world premiere of “The Athe-ist Delusion,” which claims to “de-stroy atheism with one scientifi c question,” will be screened to a private audience while streaming live from within Ken Ham’s recent-ly opened Ark Encounter, the mas-sive life-sized Noah’s Ark in North-ern Kentucky.

Ray Comfort, the movie’s producer, said, “From the start, we were concerned that people wouldn’t take seriously a movie that ‘destroys atheism with one scientifi c question.’ But it does exactly that by sci-entifi cally confi rming the existence of God. Having a respected, sci-entifi cally based organization like Answers in Genesis being willing to premiere it is such an honor.”

Comfort said, “This fi lm isn’t likely to convince the average proud and closedminded atheist. But countless others, tempted to believe the ridiculous lie of atheism, are open-minded, and will be convinced by seeing the irrefutable proof for the existence of God.”

The best-selling author and fi lmmaker, whose movies have been viewed by millions, added, “We would love for millions more to watch ‘The Atheist Delusion,’ and invite Christians to host the live-streaming event from their church or home. The world premiere will be highly evangelistic, as well as thoroughly encouraging, equipping, and inspiring to seasoned believers.”

The private event, hosted by Ray Comfort and Ken Ham, will be streamed live on AtheistMovie.com on October 22 at 8 p.m. (ET). At the same time the movie will also be released on YouTube. To view the movie before its offi cial release, see www.AtheistMovie.com for details.

This shows the evidence of Milwaukee’s unrest this past month. The churches need to be the lead on taking the initiative to change society’s environment. God has a better plan than what you see, read the book “Satan, You Can’t Have My Country”

MLB Star Daniel Murphy Says World Series Loss Revealed Jesus’ Love for Himby Jeannie Law

Major League Baseball star Daniel Murphy says playing in the World Series last year for the New York Mets gave him a glimpse into the love of Jesus Christ as he experienced both triumph and failure.

Murphy, who’s now a second baseman for the Washington Nationals, spoke about his faith and the impact it had on him when he played for the New York Mets in an inter-view with Tim Pierson, the Nationals’ team chaplain, at Faith and Family Night at the baseball stadium in Washington, D.C. last Friday.

“My wife and family had an opportunity last year to [watch me play] in the World Series,” Murphy told Pierson. “And got the most perfect picture of Jesus’ love and how it’s not dependent on our current circum-stances. Jesus loves us right where we’re at. He always gives us what we need. Amen. He doesn’t always give us what we want.”

The 2015 National League Champion talked about his rollercoaster experience while playing for the Mets, becom-ing “pretty hot” in the post-season and then falling from glory after causing an error in game four of the World Series.

Murphy set several records during his time in New York, he hit .529 with four home runs, a double, and six RBIs. However, his error during the eighth in-ning of game four of the World Series cost the Mets, and the Kansas City Royals went on to win the series, ending Murphy’s “hot” streak.

He showed the audience the headline from a Sports Illustrated cover from the 2015 play-offs that read: “The Amazin’ MURPH” and then a copy of the New York Daily News that

ran after his costly error that read: “DAMN MURPHY!”

“I know that Jesus loves me as much in this moment,” Mur-phy said, pointing to the Daily News headline, “as he does in this moment,” pointing to the Sports Illustrated cover.

He added, “Jesus was trying to make me look more like Him-self. I don’t know about the rest of you, but that is a pain-

ful process. But it’s worth it.”

Last year, a reporter asked Murphy how it was that he could have such an incredible game, to which he responded, “That was all Jesus,” according to Breathecast. When he was asked how he dealt with nerves, he re-plied, “That’s the Holy Spirit, the only thing keeping me calm.”

Christian Leader Arrested in Russia as Law Banning Evangelism Outside of Churches Goes Into Effectby Stoyan Zaimov

The fi rst reports of Christian leaders being

arrested in Russia following the passing of

new anti-terrorism laws that ban evangelism

outside of churches have started coming in.

The Moscow Times reports that Sergei

Zhuravlyov, a representative of the Ukrai-

nian Reformed Orthodox Church of Christ

the Savior, was arrested earlier this month

while he was preaching before the St. Pe-

tersburg Messianic Jewish community, and

was charged with violating a provision of

the law that bans illegal missionary activity.

Law enforcement offi cials later told Inter-

fax news agency that Zhuravlyov is being

accused of “fomenting negative attitudes

toward the Russian Orthodox Church,” and

of having ties to the Ukrainian nationalist

political party called Right Sector, which is

banned in Russia.

Ukraine and Russia remain in a state of con-

fl ict following the annexation of Crimea in

2014, which has also sparked violent clash-

es between Russia-backed separatists and

government forces in the eastern parts of

Ukraine.

Zhuravlyov has since been released on bail,

with his case sent to court.

Thousands of churches in Russia announced

back in July that they would be coming to-

gether in prayer and fasting against the new

law, signed by President Vladimir Putin,

which in its anti-terrorism efforts prohibits

the sharing of faith in any place that is not

a government-sanctioned house of worship.

“This new situation resembles the Soviet

Union in 1929. At that time confession of

faith was permitted only in church,” Hannu

Haukka, president of Great Commission

Media Ministries, said in July. “Practically

speaking, we are back in the same situation.

These anti-terrorist laws are some of the

most restrictive laws in post-Soviet history.”

As the law also bans foreign missionaries

from speaking at churches without permis-

sion from Russian authorities, international

organizations such as the Slavic Centre for

Law and Justice, said a new manner of car-

rying out missionary work in Russia will

need to be established.

Reports noted that violators of the law, if

Russian citizens, would face a fi ne of f $75

to $765, while organizations could be look-

ing at fi nes of up to $15,265. Foreigners

found breaking the law would be deported,

however.

The SCLJ, an affi liate of the American Cen-

ter for Law and Justice, said that it is re-

viewing changes to the law when it comes

to freedom of conscience and the activities

of religious institution; the rights of foreign

citizens to conduct missionary activities in

Russia; and how to carry out missionary

work without breaking the law.

“Please pray for our brothers and sisters in

Christ in Russia and pass along the informa-

tion about this webinar to your pastor and

any others who may know about missionar-

ies in Russia who could fi nd it useful,” the

ACLJ said in a statement.

“We will continue defending Christians

around the globe to ensure their rights to

share their faith are protected.”

A Commentary by Retired U.S. Army Lt. Col. Allen West to Colin KapernickIf there’s one thing I live for, it’s football season, especial-ly college. Saturday night I was enjoying a fantastic game between Charleston Southern University and North Dakota State Univer-sity. The game went into overtime and ended with the Bison of NDSU winning 24-17. However, as I watched this thrilling game, it was an item on the ESPN news tick-er that disturbed me — to which I see a need to respond to this “teach-able moment.”

As we reported yesterday, San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick refused to stand for the National Anthem in Friday’s pre-season game against Green Bay because he was protesting “black oppression” in the United States. The Niners went on to lose.

The NFL issued a statement that said players are encouraged but not required to stand for the national anthem. Hmm, this is the same NFL that refused to allow the Dallas Cow-boys to wear a helmet decal in honor of the fallen Dallas Police offi cers gunned down on Thursday July 7th.

This is the same NFL that said nothing when players from the then- St. Louis Rams dis-played the false narrative symbol of “hands up, dont shoot” — which we know didn’t happen. I fi nd it rather interesting that the NFL has no issue disrespecting law enforce-ment offi cers but only “encourages” play-ers to respect the symbol of our nation, the American fl ag, and our anthem, the Star Spangled Banner.

However, I would recommend a simple scripture from the wise King Solomon for Mr. Kaepernick, Proverbs 17:28 (NIV): “Even fools are thought wise if they keep silent, and discerning if they hold their tongues.”

Or, as the old folks down South would say, “best for a stupid person to keep their mouth shut and not open it and let everyone know they are.”

Mr. Kaepernick, a biracial young man ad-opted and raised by white parents, claims America is oppressing blacks at a time when we have a black, biracial president who was twice elected. We’ve had two black at-torneys general and currently have a black secretary of homeland security, along with a black national security advisor. Here in Dallas our police chief, whom I know, is an outstanding black leader. The offi cer in Mil-waukee who shot the armed assailant after

issuing an order to drop his weapon was black. Is Mr. Kaepernick following suit and cherry-picking what he terms “oppression?”

First of all, let me clarify to you sir, you are a multi-mil-lionaire “one-percenter” just because you can throw a ball and kiss your biceps. Men like Jesse Owens, Jackie Robinson, Hank Aaron, Os-car Robertson, Ernie Davis,

and Bernard King and Condredge Halloway of my alma mater were athletes who knew of oppression. You sir may certainly have the right to sit upon your “fourth point of con-tact” when the National Anthem is played but never forget, you live in a nation that has provided you the privilege to have that right.

My story is one I wish to share. My dad was a corporal in the U.S. Army and served dur-ing World War II. He was born in 1920 and knew oppression. Yet, when he sat me down on the steps of our home, 651 Kennesaw Ave NE in Atlanta, he shared with me that there was no greater honor or privilege, than to wear the uniform of these United States. Perhaps that ‘s why his fi rst and middle sons, along with his grandson, are all U.S. combat veterans, just like Dad. Herman West Sr. was not a victim, and he raised men who would never allow anyone to suppress or oppress them. Perhaps you should stop trying to make victims and admonish people, black people, to be victors — try it, and you may fi nd that more satisfying than your insidious action and word vomiting.

If you want to know about oppression of blacks in America, past and present, how about you ask Rep. Nancy Pelosi of the San Fran Bay Area about the policies that deci-mated the black family? Maybe you can cross the Bay over to Oakland and ask Rep. Barbara Lee about the 13 to15 million black babies killed since 1973, and ask her who is Margaret Sanger?

Or perhaps you can ask the two California senators, Boxer and Feinstein, about who doesn’t support better education opportu-nities for black children in the inner cities — school choice, vouchers, charter schools, home schooling.

Perhaps you didn’t know Barack Obama was the one who cancelled the DC school voucher program for deserving young black children — talk about oppression. Is that something you’re willing to do, or is it just too diffi cult?

You should look at who’s been controlling the communities and cities where blacks live. This isn’t not about what America has done; it’s about what a certain group, a po-litical party has done. And your somewhat backhanded comment towards our law en-forcement offi cers — well, wonder how many times San Francisco PD has protected you?

Here is the deal young man. My recommen-dation is that you apologize. Be a stand up fella and admit you made a very stupid com-ment. Humbly state that you do realize how very special this country is and the opportu-nities it has afforded you — and many oth-ers. You should take that stand and apologize to all of those who are currently serving in our Armed Forces and those veterans who’ve been willing to make that last full measure of devotion. You see, when the National An-them is played, it has a very special meaning to us — maybe you should take a hiatus and go over to Helmand Province in Afghanistan and spend a week and understand why. Go over and throw a football with the men and women who enable you to earn those mil-lions of dollars.

The American fl ag has a very touching mean-ing for those of us for whom it will drape our coffi n — as it was for my Dad…and it will be for me. That song defi nes who we are as a proud and exceptional people. This is a land where so many dream of coming to and earning the title of American. Your ac-tions were shameful, disgusting, despicable and disrespectful.

You do have a right and a freedom of expres-sion. But know, there are consequences to your ignorant action, which is what it was.

When the National Anthem is played, I sa-lute because I am a black man born and raised in the inner city afforded the oppor-tunity for greatness in my own right. May you seek God’s forgiveness and fi nd humil-ity, because we, the people are not going to forget what you did and said. GOD BLESS AMERICA!

THIS MIGHT EXPLAIN SOME OF HIS ACTIONS…..

The media won’t tell us this. Turns out Kae-pernick is engaged to a Muslim woman who is a BLM activist. In the off season he con-verted to Islam. She appears to be radical-izing him by looking at his Instagram and other accounts. He is a VERY angry man and should be watched. His actions are now making sense!!

James Dobson: I’m Tired of Being Called a Rightwing Crazy, Almost Retiredby Brandon Showalter

Dr. James Dobson proclaimed to hundreds gathered in the Omni Shoreham Hotel Fri-day, for the Family Research Council’s annu-al Values Voter Summit his support for Don-ald Trump as president, his fear of a Hillary Clinton presidency, and revealed he almost retired several times because he was tired of being called a rightwing crazy.

“I am passionately in favor of Donald J. Trump,” Dobson states, receiving thunder-ous applause and cheers.

Under the impression that he was not al-lowed to be explicitly political in his speech, the 80-year-old host of Family Talk and for-mer head of Focus on the Family gave an im-passioned speech, urging all in attendance

to support the Republican nominee for president.

Dobson mentioned in his opening that he had listened to the speech Donald Trump himself had given earlier that day in that same ballroom and said, “I agreed with ev-erything the man said, so why wouldn’t I stand up here and say so?”

“Donald Trump is not a perfect man. There aren’t any perfect people. There aren’t any. If you’re waiting for a perfect candidate, you’re not going to have anybody to vote for,” he continued, emphasizing to the audience that only two true choices exist in this election.

“I lose sleep thinking about having Hillary Clinton pack that court with people from the far Left, and what that would mean for the institution of the family,” Dobson said.

Noting that Clinton had previously written about how much she loves children, Dobson asked: “How can somebody who loves chil-dren support partial-birth abortion?”

“That’s right!” several members of the audi-ence shouted while clapping loudly.

“57 million babies have been murdered and she has supported the whole institution of

abortion from beginning to end,” Dobson in-toned with palpable disgust in his voice.

The psychologist then became much more sober and explained his concerns about the state of the family, and that everything from the marriage penalty tax to the court rulings redefi ning marriage altogether have contrib-uted to the breakdown of society.

Dobson concluded his 25 minute remarks admitting he was tired of being called a rightwing crazy and fundamentalist, noting that he was tempted to retire several times.

“But the Lord put his hand in my back and said: ‘The job is not done. Don’t even think about it,’“ he said, a line met with rapturous applause.

This is not a time to quit, he repeated often in his remarks.

“Donald Trump hasn’t got a chance at win-ning without good people going out and vot-ing for him,” Dobson concluded.

“Understand, this is a time when our whole country hangs in the balance. And I am con-vinced that we will never come back from a bad decision here.”

Benham Brothers: America Is Witnessing Bible’s Prophecy of Isaiah 59by Samuel Smith

David and Jason Benham told hundreds of evangelical Christians Friday that the “pro-phetic implications” of Isaiah 59 are hap-pening in America today, as those who pub-licly defend traditional Christian beliefs are being turned into “prey.”

The Benham brothers, successful real estate entrepreneurs who gained notoriety among conservative Christians when their HGTV re-ality show was canceled because of liberal opposition to their beliefs on homosexual-ity, spoke for about 20 minutes at the Family Research Council’s Values Voters Summit on Friday afternoon and warned that what peo-ple are calling the “sexual revolution” is ac-tually more like the moral decay of society.

As Christians around the country — from wedding venders and pizza shop owners to government offi cials and MLB commenta-tors — are facing social upheaval and mas-sive consequences for voicing and acting on their Christian convictions and opinions, the

Benhams suggested that there is a “radical revolution to overtake America.”

“[I]t is more than just a sexual revolution, it is a moral revolution, it’s a spiritual revolu-tion that is taking place right now before our eyes and the ceiling has become the fl oor,” David Benham said.

David Benham said that the Left’s crafted “narrative” that “religious freedom is a right to discriminate,” is the most ridiculous thing that he has ever heard.

“But, until the pulpits of this country, once again begin to ablaze with righteousness, that will continue to spread like gangrene in this nation,” he stressed. “Now is the time for us to stand up and wake up from our stupor.”

Jason chimed in and said that there was a scripture that ties into what is going on in America today. Then, David joked about saving “Two Corinthians” for a speaker later on, making fun of Donald Trump’s pronun-ciation of “Second Corinthians” during a speech at Liberty University earlier this year.

Instead, David Benham recited Isaiah 59:14-15. The verse states: “Justice is turned back, And righteousness stands far away; For truth has stumbled in the street, And uprightness cannot enter. Yes, truth is lacking; And he

who turns aside from evil makes himself a prey.”

“We are watching the prophetic implica-tions of that verse. That was spoken to the nation of Israel,” David contended. “They had turned their backs on God and we are watching the exact same spirit rise up in this country. He who turns himself from evil, makes himself a prey.”

Jason Benham then stated that the church is not supposed to be the “master or the ser-pent of the state,” but rather the “conscience of the state.”

“Do you know what is happening right now? We have pastors in pulpits who refuse to touch the issues that need to be addressed from the pulpits today,” Jason Benham asserted.

He said that pastors are too afraid to speak up because they will be “vilifi ed.” When the pastors aren’t speaking up for biblical truths, “the conscience goes dark.”

“The persecution in America today that is going to continue increasing is what God is using to wake us up,” Jason contended. “May we all in this room stay awake and wake everyone we can. The problem is not the presence of darkness. The problem is ab-sence of light.”
