• AIDS stands for Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome. Did you know that the first case of AIDS was identified in Kenya in the year of 1984, and over the next 5 to 10 years there was a rapid increase in the number of cases dealing with the disease of AIDS. By the year of 2000 it was as many as two million Kenyans who were infected with this disease.

• I chose Aids In Africa because Aids is becoming a huge problem in Africa. And they aren’t getting enough help. More and more people are dying and nobody is doing anything to STOP it.

• Each day, 6,000 Africans die from the disease of AIDS. Each day, an additional 11,000 are infected with the disease of AIDS.

• Life expectancies in some nations are all ready decreasing rapidly, while death rates are increasing with the disease of AIDS.
