1901

”Experience is nothing but memory”,wrote the English philosopher ThomasHobbes. Happy is the one who can takeadvantage of such a good memory, like the J.G. ANSCHÜTZ company fromUlm.

The reason for the success is due to theirtechnical process, which on the basis of152 years experience, made the brandANSCHÜTZ a synonym for precisionhunting and target rifles up to this day.

The company was founded by JuliusGottfried Anschütz in 1856 and locatedin the Thuringian city of Zella-Mehlisuntil 1945. The founding of the companytook place at the beginning of theindustrialization period in Germany ata time when many were seeking unityand freedom. The entrepreneurial spiritof the founder and the followinggenerations made the small gunsmithshop grow to become one of the leadingcompanies in Europe for rifle and pistolmanufacturing.

World War II put a sudden end to thisstory of success. Parts of the ANSCHÜTZfamily were evacuated to the west partof Germany after the war while the com-pany’s possessions were expropriatedand dismantled.

The re-establishment of the company inUlm after the war was due to theoverwhelming will of the brothers Maxand Rudolf Anschütz. In the newsurroundings they prudently lead thecompany and proved to be veritablesuccessors of their grandfather whofounded and developed the ”GermaniaWaffenwerk”.The management of the companyremains as then, a family affair. In 1968Max Anschütz entrusted his son Dieterwith the general management who nowshares it with his son, Jochen. Since1856 the ”know how” has been part ofthe family.

Since it’s foundation, ANSCHÜTZ standsfor innovation and perfection. Thishas not changed through the years. The name ANSCHÜTZ is inseparablyconnected with innumerable nationaland international shooting triumphs.Last but not least the pioneering effortsin biathlon shooting have made thename ANSCHÜTZ recognized all overthe world.

ANSCHÜTZ products enjoy an extra-ordinary and worldwide reputationbecause of their precision, workmanshipand accuracy. This is what presidentJochen Anschütz - continuing thetradition – puts as a benchmark for the

future, toensure thatthe longhistory ofANSCHÜTZcontinues togive goodm e m o r i e sfar into thefuture.

ANSCHÜTZ Sporting Rifles are assuredly amongthe most accurate, if not the most accurate andprecisely made small bore firearms in theworld!ANSCHÜTZ Sporters are assembled with the sameprecision rifling, the same bolt assemblies (sporterizedin scale), by the same ANSCHÜTZ craftsmen, using thesame manufacturing equipment and assembly processes

with quality standards as used in the manufacture ofthe world famous and record setting ANSCHÜTZTarget Rifles. The best small bore shooters in the worldhave been winning and setting world records withANSCHÜTZ for the past fifty years.

ANSCHÜTZ firearms and ”ANSCHÜTZ ACCURACY“are not for everyone. If you want an adequately accu-

rate rifle that is capable of hitting a tin can size targetat 25 to 50 yards you do not need ”ANSCHÜTZACCURACY.” If you are a discriminating shooter andappreciate fine craftsmanship, precise function anddemand world class accuracy that will consistently hitdime sized targets at 50 yards or ”off hand“ silhouettesat 100 yards -- you need ”ANSCHÜTZ ACCURACY.“
