Annual Report
2019/20
2
2019/20 has been a great year for SEC business performance.
Over the year we awarded 138 contracts on behalf of members and guests
– that’s the most we’ve delivered in our 15 year history. Based on our
intelligence we anticipate the average cost of a procurement exercise is
£20,000 – and on that basis we’ve saved our framework users £2.76m on
procurement costs alone.
Last year we re-procured five new frameworks. Each is based on an
intelligent specification and benefits from our immense buying power – now
37 Members managing 370k homes between them. To note we’ve
dedicated large amounts of our time this year to developing fantastic re-
procurement models for internal & external building works and heating &
compliancy management which are both frequently used by our Members.
We held 19 seminars and training events this year. And, held our Annual
Conference at the London Stadium, Stratford. Our customers have told us to
keep the high quality coming – so we will grow these numbers in 20/21.
2020/21 will see us grow our team and implement a strategy that sees us do
more for our Members. Membership will now provide free high level training, a range of brand new smart frameworks and support around how
our customers manage their contracts. It’s an exciting time to join us.
At SEC we’re fully aware of the pressures our customers are under –
specifically around building safer, sustainable, smarter homes. We’ll be
striving to make sure Members have all the support they need whilst
considering how we can influence solutions for the sectors future.
We’re looking forward to supporting you in 2020/21.
