ABOUT CII YI YUVA CHAUPAL
Young Indians involves students from schools and colleges around the country to indulge
them in leadership, personal development and nation building activities. Yi Students Net
envisions connecting students to the community, the country at large and working towards a
movement for “Nation Building”.
Young Indians (Yi) is an integral part of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), a non
government, not-for-profit, industry. Yi has around 1500 direct members in 32 chapters, and
engages around 8300 students through student nets. Yi membership includes young
progressive Indians between the age of 25 & 40 and comprises entrepreneurs, professionals
and achievers from different walks of life. “To become the voice of Young Indians Globally”
being the vision of Yi, it provides a platform for young Indians to participate and contribute.
Yi’s work can be divided primarily into three groups; “Young Leadership”’ “Young Social
Entrepreneurship” and “International Engagements”.
“Yi YUVA” is the name for Yi Youth Affairs vertical. Young Indians involve students from
schools and colleges by forming “Chaupals” across various institutes around the country. Yi
Yuva IIS Chaupal aims to synergize students and their energy for positive action. It provides
an opportunity to start thinking and work for India. As a part of this net, Students work in
cross functional teams with a broad objective of enhancing their leadership skills and giving
back to the nation. In the process, they get opportunity for self development, skill building,
community service and nation building.
The Yi Chapter launched its first Yi Student NET with the IIS University 19th September
2013. Mr. Rohit Verma, chair, Yi Jaipur Chapter and Dr. Ashok Gupta, Vice Chancellor, The
IIS University, signed MOU for the same.

IIS Yuva Orientation 2019-20
Date-20th July, 2019
Place- IIS (deemed to be) University, Jaipur
An orientation session was conducted by the joint efforts of CII Yi officials and staff of IIS
(deemed to be University) on 20th July, 2019. With the AV Hall filled to its maximum
comfortable capacity, the orientation session started at 9:30 am with a warm welcome of the
distinguished guests, Mr. Nitesh Saboo, Chair- Yi Jaipur Chapter; Mr. Atin Jain, Yi Yuva
Regional Chair Northern Region; Mr. Arpit Patni, Chair- Yi Jaipur Yuva Vertical; Ms.
Bhavna Sugandha, Co-Chair- Yi Jaipur Yuva Vertical, the IIS Yuva core committee and the
students.
The speakers for the session were Mr. Arpit Patni and Mr. Atin Jain who along with their
detailed description had marvelous presentations of CII Yi Yuva. Both of them along with
Mr. Nitesh Saboo did a tremendous job of educating the students about the working of the
same. The speeches had subtle statistics along with the actual functioning of Yuva in a
layman language which made it much more helpful and informative. Several videos and slide
shows for the purpose of motivation and sharing a glimpse of CII Yi Yuva's various projects
were another highlight of the session. Some past members were also called upon the stage to
deliver their testimonials which in brief was described as an excellent journey experienced by
them. For breaking the ice, the officials even had an informal interaction with the students
which made them look forward to the events of Yuva after they found themselves excited to
join the club.
At last the session was wrapped up with a token of gratitude at 11:30 am marking the session
as a success.
Guest Lecture on Financial Empowerment for Women
Date- 29th August,2019
Place- IIS (deemed to be) University, Jaipur
CII Yi Yuva organized an enthralling session on “Financial Empowerment for Women” on
29th August,2019 in the University campus. Mr. Arpit Patni, Chair Yi Jaipur Yuva Vertical,
introduced the speaker, CA Ashish Modani, Founder, SLA Financial Solutions. He was
accompanied by Ms. Shalini Raj, Business Development Manager. The lecture was initiated
by introducing the need and importance of women to participate in financial decisions. Mr.
Modani emphasized on difficulties faced by common people in saving the money and
culminating the unnecessary expenditure. He delivered the session in a very interactive
manner which enthused the students with excitement. Students participated actively and came
up with interesting questions during the event. Mr. Modani also enlightened the audience by
imparting the knowledge on the strength of women in taking financial decisions. He inspired
girls to me more independent. The theory of 21 days and early saving was also informed by
him.
The session was concluded by memento presentation to the guest. It can be summed up as a
beneficial and inspiring session.
Delhi Youth Conclave
Date-28th September, 2019
Place- Constitution Club of India,Delhi
Organized by YI Delhi Chapter, Delhi Youth Conclave was held at Constitution Club of
India, Delhi. 14 students of CII YI YUVA club of IIS(deemed to be University), Jaipur, along
with a faculty coordinator Ms. Vyoma Agarwal attended the event.
The theme of the event was Future of Life. The event unfolded in many boardroom meetings,
masterclass and huddle sessions. Future of technology, leadership, governance, work and
relationship were some of the matters discussed in these sessions.
The students attended the huddle session on Future of Relationship, Art and Culture where a
circle of trust was formed by the speaker, Mr. Vivin Matthew, and the students actively
engaged in the discussion.
Mr. Vivin Matthew is a first generation entrepreneur who develops affordable housing and
warehousing around Mumbai. He is a member of G-20 Young Entrepreneurs’ Alliance where
he has represented India at the G-20s in Berlin and Buenos Aires.
Towards the end of the event an unwind session was attended by students which was
conducted by Digital Gandhi who is an artist, brand creator, storyteller, presentation expert
and 12 times TEDx speaker. He gave the students an altogether different perception towards
life, relationships and career by way of various fun activities.
Overall ,it was an enlightening and great learning experience for the students.
Industrial Visit
Date- 24th January, 2020

Educational tours are essential for overall development of students. They provide valuable
educational opportunities away from the classroom without using textbooks and other tools
used in usual settings. Students on educational trips can often learn while having fun in a
more informal environment.
An industrial visit was organized on 24th January, 2020 for 1st year Yuva members of the
University. The aim of the visit was to provide practical exposure to the students where they
could experience the operations of making various dairy and ice- cream products.
A batch of 50 students and two faculty coordinators (Dr. Anju Singh and Dr. Megha Arya)
left the IISU campus at 10:05a.m and reached the arena of FruBon at 11:00 a.m. The
management received the students and accompanying teachers with a warm welcome and
guided them through the site. To begin with, the HR Manager and his team gave the students
an introduction of company’s history, profile and its present functioning in Dairy, Ice cream
and Bakery products like milk, cheese, butter, Yoghurt, Buttermilk, Ice-Cream, Paneer,
Cookies, and others. Some of the team members even shared their experiences with the
company and asked the students their views about the FruBon products. They also ensured
the students that in near future their products will match any good product in the market.
Next, the students were divided into two groups- one group to visit the ice cream production
unit and the second group to visit the bakery section. Then, hygiene and safety precautions
were taken and everyone was made to wear head-cap before entering the factory. Also, a set
of strict safety rules were informed to the students.
In the white products division, the students were accompanied by Mr. Mohammed Shabid
(Plant Manager-dairy section). The demonstration was initiated by informing about various
sophisticated and advanced technology and machinery used for manufacturing in the factory.
Next, the students were made aware of the process involved in procurement and pasteurizing
of milk and were given demonstration of the making and packaging of various products.
Then the students were also taken to the cold room with a temperature of 5°C, where various
dairy products are stored.
In the ice cream section, the students were escorted by Mr. Rahul (Deputy Manager-Ice
cream). Firstly, the students visited the laboratory where all kinds of physical, biological and
chemical testing are done. Next, it was followed by a visit to the raw materials storage
segment. The aroma of the ice -creams filled their hearts with joy. Then the students were
made aware about different stages of milk processing and the process involved in making ice
– cream and they enjoyed the fascinating site in making. Then the students visited the auto
candy machine room where 6000 ice creams are produced in an hour. The students were
fascinated even more when they were taken to the Blast Room with the temperature of -35°C.
The students were flabbergasted by the bursting of cold air on their faces.
The young Icgians were overwhelmed with joy and enthusiasm after they were offered
complementary ice creams. This enthusiastic educational tour came to an end with a group
photograph of the Yuva team and FruBon employees.
A Session on Stress Management
Date – 27th January, 2020
Place- IIS (deemed to be) University, Jaipur
A session on “Stress Management” was organized on 27th January 2020 for Yuva members of
the University. Yuva members participated in the session with great interest. The session
aimed to guide the students on how to maintain a healthy lifestyle and to prepare to cope with
the stress of everyday living. The session was addressed by Ms. Naintara S Agarwal. She is a
psychologist and loves to work with special needs of children. She has worked with AIIMS &
Safdarjung hospital, New Delhi as a Child Psychologist where she treated children suffering
from cancer and their caregivers. She helps and motivates them to develop a positive attitude
towards life. Mr. Swapnil Agarwal, a Yi member and Ms Bhawna, Yi Co-Chair, Jaipur
Chapter were also present on the occasion.
To begin the session, Ms Bhawna addressed the students and asked about their recent
Industry visit organized by Yi, Jaipur Chapter. She also highlighted the benefits of Yuva
membership to students. She then handed over the session to Ms Naintara. While addressing
the students Ms. Naintara said that stress and anxiety is a part of human nature, but it is
important to know how to overcome it. “Youngsters most of the time find it difficult to face
the changes and to cope up with such variations. Hence, this leads to stress, anxiety and
tension.”
During the session she discussed various causes of stress, types of stress faced by people,
myths about stress and casted light on various facts related to stress. She suggested few tips
on the art of handling stress and tension. She also discussed some of the healthy ways of
coping stress including Time management strategy, meditation, yoga, well-balanced meals, 7
hours of sleep, a minimum of 20 minutes of aerobic exercise every day and some other ways
were also discussed. At the end of the session students asked their various queries on Stress
Management which were jointly answered by Mr. Swapnil Agarwal and Ms Naintara.
International Conference on Globalization of Khadi
Date- 30th& 31st January, 2020
Place- HCM, RIPA (OTS)
A two day International Conference on Globalization of Khadi was organized by department
of industries, CII, along with the Government of Rajasthan on 30-31 January, 2020 at HCM-
RIPA (OTS), Jaipur. The members in association with YUVA from IIS University got an
opportunity to volunteer in such valuable conference. Various eminent speakers from all over
the world came to attend the same. The conference celebrated 150 years of Mahatma Gandhi.
The conference commenced with the welcoming of the speakers and lamp lighting ceremony
by them at 10 A.M. The first session was on The Indian Khadi Story which connected the
audience with the evolution of khadi till date. Mr. Indu Bhushan Goel, Session Chairman
started the session and Ms Asha Buch, Associate Khadi, CII, London acquainted the listeners
with Khadi during Independence Movement. Then the panel continued with the other
speakers and their views on Khadi story and a question answer round. The session ended with
a two minutes silence in the memory of Mahatma Gandhi and concluding remarks byMr.
Hari Mohan Meena, Secretary,and Rajasthan Khadi Gramudhyog Board.
The conference continued with an inaugural session at 11:30 which was addressed by Mr.
Anand Mishra, Chairman CII Rajasthan; Mr. Bhawani Shanker Kusum, President Gram
Bharat Smiti; Ms RituBeri, International Fashion Designer and Founder, The Luxury League;
Ms Shalini Seth Amin, Founder Moral Fibre; Mr Laxmi Dass, Past Chairman Khadi and
village industries commission; Ms Jo Salter, Dr Subodh Agarwal; Mr. D B Gupta, chief
secretary, Government of Rajasthan. The Guest of HonorSheriParasailMeena, Minister for
Industries &Khadi, Government of Rajasthan addressed the audience with the view of
importance of Khadi in the coming era.
Sheri Ashok Gimlet, HumbleChief Minister of Rajasthan said that Khadi eradicates
differences between rich and poor, caste and religion. In this occasion, the Chief Minister
also inaugurated website of Khadi CIC London. Convenor of the conference Shri GS Bafna
proposed a vote of thanks. The event was attended by eminent personalities, designers,
weavers associated with Khadi institutions and weavers and other dignitaries including
spinners. This international conference on Khadi will create interest in the new generation
towards Khadi which in turn may hopefully get a new identity.
Annual Session of Young Indians (Jaipur Chapter)&
Session of Youth 2.0- The future leadership of Nation
Date- 3rd February, 2020
Place- Hotel Radisson Blu
For the session, the university nominated 8 students to attend the samealong with Co-
coordinator Dr. Mahima Rai.
The session started with the introduction and welcome remarks by Mr. Anand Mishra,
Chairman, CII Rajasthan and managing director of Geetstar Hotels & resorts pvt. Ltd.
Further, it was moderated by Mr. Nitesh Saboo, who is the Chair- Young Indians (Jaipur
Chapter) & Director Shreya Petrochem Pvt. Ltd. Followed was the keynote speaker of the
day, Mr. CK Birla, Chairman of CK Birla group. He talked about the role of youth in creating
sustainable business model. He stated that he firmly believes that today’s youth is far more
confident, conscious, intelligent and advanced than that of previous decades due to
technological enhancement. According to Mr. CK Birla, most of today’s youth is employed
in a job which will yield nothing in the near future. Therefore, young Indians should be
prepared for the changes in near future and plan what to do next. After his speech, there were
open house questions regarding the youth and the business model for economic development.
The questions were asked by Mr. Abhinav Bhanthia, Mr. Arpit Patni and others. Further,
there was the Annual Report 2019-2020 presentation. After which, the vote of thanks was
provided by Ms. Smita Agarwal to Mr. CK Birla. Ms. Smita is the Regional chair- Yi
Northern Region & director PTC industries ltd.
The next session began with opening remarks by Mr.Anand Mishra which was further
moderated by Mr. Abhinav Bhanthia, who is the past chair of YI Jaipur chapter & Executive
director Manu Yantralya pvt ltd. The keynote speaker for this session was Lt. General Alok
Kler. He has won several awards amongst PVSM & VSM. Currently, he is General Officer
Commanding-in-chief, South western Command. He described the 10 broad principles of life,
mainly of war:
Selection and maintenance of aim
Concentration of force
Economy of efforts
Offensive action
Surprise
Flexibility
Cooperation
Maintenance of morale
Security
Administration
The session was concluded with open house questions relating to border challenges faced and
motivating of ‘Jawans’. And further with Vote of Thanks by Mr. Nitesh Saboo.
The next session started with welcome remarks by Mr. Nitesh Saboo and Nitin Gupta
(Director & State Head of CII Rajasthan). Mr. Shreyansh then introduced the incoming Chair
and Co-chair of YI (Jaipur Chapter). The session was concluded by the speech of Incoming
Chair (Mr. Jalesh Arya) and the Co-chair (Mr. Arpit Patni). At last, the token of gratitude was
provided to all the past chairs.
The event was concluded by delicious dinner at 8.15 p.m.
Learning Outcome: The overall session was very beneficial and the volunteers learnt many
aspects of today’s business model and various challenges faced by the youth and how to deal
with them.
Industrial Visit
Date- 25th February, 2020
Place- Clay Craft, F-766 A, Road No. 1-D, V.K.I. Area, Jaipur.
An industrial visit to Clay Craft (a premium crockery manufacturer) VKI, was organized on
25th February, 2020 for Yuva members of the University. A batch of 40 students and two
faculty coordinators (Dr. Mahima Rai and Dr. Nivedita Sharma) left the IISU campus around
9:50 am and reached the Claycraft campus in one hour approximately. All were warmly
welcomed by Mr. R B Sharma, Factory manager of the company and his team. Then the
production manager took the students on a round of the factory.
First stop was the production unit, where the students were made familiar with the raw
material used for making fine tableware crockery in the industry. Then the group was guided
to the molding area where the crockery was being shaped. Next visit was to the assembling
zone, where crockery was being assembled. While visiting all the units, the tour guide was
efficiently explaining the whole process.
During the visit some other small units where cleaning and finishing work was done could
also be seen. The last stop was to the labeling and packaging unit, where every batch was
labeled and packed in boxes. It was amazing for the students to see and understand the
manufacturing process of Clay Craft crockery.
Finally, to quench the thirst of our curious minds, the group assembled at the Reception area
where not only the answers to the questions were given but the refreshments were also
served. This learning visit came to an end with a group photograph of the Clay Craft team
and the YUVA members. With a wholesome of learning, memories and experience the Yuva
members reached the University around 12.30 pm.
Rajasthan State Annual Session 2020
Date: 27th February, 2020
Place: Hotel ITC Rajputana, Jaipur
On the morning of 27th February, the Rajasthan State Annual Session 2020 along with a
session on Rajasthan: A Land of Opportunities for MSMEs and Industry was propitiously
conducted under the upkeep of Confederation of Indian Industry. A group of 15 student
volunteers headed by a teacher coordinator Dr. Vyoma Agarwal attended the same at the
illustrious Hotel ITC Rajputana.
The salient session which was set in motion after the welcome remarks of the CII Rajasthan
State Council, Mr. Anand Mishra took on a rather interesting ascending at the declaration of
Result of CII Rajasthan State Council 2020-21 by the Deputy Chairman of CII Northern
Region, Mr. Nikhil Sawhney. All the hard work done by the distinguished Yi officials and
members could be clearly seen in the report.
Awhile later, again with the welcome address by Mr. Anand Mishra began another vital
segment of the day featuring a special guest, Dr B D Kalia, Hon’ble Minister for Energy &
PHED Government of Rajasthan. Apart from this were the different addressals by Mr.
Nikhil Sawhney, Mr. Viren Joshi, Mr. Muktanand Agrawal, and Mr. Ashutosh A T Pednekar
too.
Followed by this was a special session with Hon’ble Governor Shri Kairaj Mishra on
Rajasthan: A Land of Opportunities for MSMEs and Industry, where he addressed the entire
gathering about the subject matter. This led to yet another session on the Importance of
Conducive Policy Framework, Financing and R & D for making Rajasthan a land of
Opportunities. The Session Chairman was Mr. Sanjay Srivastava, Convenor- CII Panel on
Infrastructure & Business Head, Mahindra Worldcity Jaipur Ltd. The session included many
explanatory presentations along with a short Q & A forum.
The students reported a well organized and engrossing session. The session which in itself
was intensely absorbing had also gripped the idea that indeed Rajasthan is a land of
opportunities for MSMEs and Industries.
