Camp Caroline is our summer church program for kids. Come to the 10:00 Sunday church service and bring your children into church with you. Feel free to grab an Angel Bag on your way in. Right before the sermon, the Camp Caroline volunteer with lead the children out to the Parish House where they will participate in a casual, stimulating, fun, hands on weekly Bible lesson. At the end of church, you can pick up your children on the slype and en-joy some refreshments. Camp Caroline will run from Sunday, June 16th through Sunday, September 1st.

Volunteers are needed and it's very easy! Snacks, drinks, and all lesson materials will be left for you in the upper room of the Parish House. Lessons include a story, small craft or worksheet and are very simple yet engaging. Feel free to prepare your own lesson as well. All parishioners are asked to prayerfully consider if they would enjoy spending 45 minutes with some of our youngest parishioners and helping to instill the love of our Lord and the good news of the Bible into their hearts.

Dates include: June 16, 23, and 30;July 7,14,21 and 28;August 4,11,18 and 25;September 1. If interested, please contact Virginia Cash. 631-751-3541 or [email protected]

Psalm 8

1 O ' LORD our ' Governor, * how exalted is your ' Name in ' all the ' world! 2 Out of the mouths of ' infants and ' children * your majesty is ' praised a'bove the ' heavens. 3 You have set up a stronghold a'gainst your ' adversaries, * to quell the ' enemy ' and the a'venger. 4 When I consider your heavens, the ' work of your ' fingers, * the moon and the ' stars you have ' set in their ' courses, 5 What is man that you should be ' mindful of ' him? * the son of man that ' you should ' seek him ' out? 6 You have made him but little ' lower than the ' angels; * you a'dorn him with ' glory and ' honor; 7 You give him mastery over the ' works of your ' hands; * you put ' all things ' under his ' feet: 8 All ' sheep and ' oxen, * even the wild ' bëasts ' of the ' field, 9 The birds of the air, the ' fish of the ' sea, * and whatsoever ' walks in the ' paths of the ' sea. 10 O ' LORD our ' Governor, * how exalted is your ' Name in ' all the ' world!

Juice and Cookies on the slype

Summertime…..and the living is easy! Summer at Caroline Church means not only a change in one of our Sunday service times, but it also means our opportunity for fellowship will move to the slype where we will enjoy cookies and juice . The sign up sheet is available now, so please select a date or two that will work for you and your family, and get ready to enjoy each other’s company in the beautiful summer weather that lies ahead.

Graduation Time

God our Father, you see your children growing up in an unsteady and confusing world: Show them that your ways give more life than the ways of the world, and that following you is better than chasing after selfish goals. Help them to face the challenges of life with your steady hand and use the opportunities that are before them as building blocks for a new journey. Give them strength to hold their faith in you, and to keep alive their joy in your creation; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. One of the prayers for youth in our Book of Common Prayer also speaks of children “growing up in an unsteady and confusing world” (page 829). The challenges faced by every high school, college, and postgraduate student are enormous. Amidst the congratulatory celebrations, let’s remember to keep all of our graduates in our prayers as they transition from one phase of their lives into the next.

Congratulations Graduates

Megan Specht will graduate from Ward Melville on Sunday, June 30 and will attend Princeton School of Engineering this Fall.

Sarah Hull has graduated from the Stony Brook School and will attend Worcester Polytechnic Institute in the Fall.
