AnimaQon  is  extensively  used  in  Engineering.  CAD  has  always  been  an  imperaQve  tool  in  the  industry.  For  instance  in  automobile  design,  CAD  could  be  used  to  model  a  car.  But  with  the  advent  of  computer  animaQon,  that  model  could  now  be  changed  into  a  full  3-‐d  rendering.

Other Applications - Engineering

MEDICINE  It  is  very  hard  for  a  doctor  to  get  inside  a  living  human  body  and  to  see  what  is  happening.  AnimaQon  once  again  comes  in  very  useful.  A  doctor,  for  example,  can  fly  through  these  models  and  explore  the  area  of  the  body  he  or  she  is  going  to  be  operaQng  on  in  order  to  get  a  beger  picture  of  the  operaQon  and  possible  increase  the  success  rate.

Other Applications- Medicine

Page 21: Animation, Gaming and Multimedia Industry

An imaQon   can   a l s o   be  helpful  to  Architects  so  that  they   can   see   any   flaws   in  their   designs.   This   has  proved   to   be   very   cost  effecQve   and   Qme   saving  because  no  one  has  to  build  anything.  This  is  one  field  in  which   computer   AnimaQon  has  proved  to  be  extremely  useful.

SCIENTIFIC  VISUALISATION

The  advent  of  computer  animaQons  has  made  sciences  such  as  geology,  astronomy,  oceanography,  and  high-‐atomic  physics  much  easier.

With   the   help   of   anima/on,   the   Archeologist   has   acquired   the   power   to  create  simulated  archeological  environments.  A  model  or  an  en/re  site    can  be  made,  and  without  any  wear  and   tear   to   the  ar/fact  /site   itself  and  can   take  the  viewer  for  a  walk  through.

Education Educators are always looking for new ways to educate. Animation can be used to make very exciting and practical, instructive videos into which education can easily be incorporated. Instructors can also use animation to demonstrate things visually to make the lessons more interesting.
