Angora Trimmed Top Down Sweater A simple top down design using negative ease for above my waist and positive ease for the hip area. The angora trim was from my own handspun, but you could replace it with the LB Collection Angora Merino. Gauge (check gauge in the round): 13 st per 4”, 24 rows per 4” NOTE: body knit to a loose and stretchy gauge On US 8 with Angora CO 84 stitches, place marker and join in round  P  K2tog, YO  K  P  K  P RAGLAN SET UP ROUND change to US 10.5 and Lion Brand Superwash Merino Cashmere K 12, pm, K25 (front), pm, K12 pm, K35 (back) RAGLAN INCREASE ROUNDS  kfbl, k to one stitch before marker, kfbl, sm, kfbl, repeat from totwo more times, k to one stitch before marker, kfbl (92)  k one round straight  repeat the last two rounds 11 more times (180) -kfbl, k to one stitch before marker, kfbl, sm, k to next marker, sm, kfbl, k to one stitch before marker, kfbl, k to end of round  k on round straight -kfbl, k to one stitch before marker, kfbl, sm, k to next marker, sm, kfbl, k to one stitch before marker, kfbl, k to end of round  k on round straight (40 st for sleeve, 49 st for front, 40 st for sleeve, 59 st for back = 184)  put 40 st for sleeve on scrap yarn, k st from front, put 40 st for sleeve on scrap yarn, k 59 from back (you will not be working the body only, in the round)  K 4” straight WAIST SHAPING  K 14, pm, k21, pm, k29, pm, k29, k15 to end of round. These will be your waist decrease and hip increase markers.  K to 2 st before marker, SSK, sm, k to next marker, sm, k2tog, repeat to k to end of round  K 5 rounds straight  repeat last six rounds 3 more times (92 st)

HIP SHAPING 

•  K to marker, M1R, sm, k to next marker, sm, M1L , repeat to k to end of round

•  K 4 rounds straight

•  repeat the next five rounds 7 times (124)

•  K to marker, M1R, sm, k to next marker, sm, M1L , repeat to k to end of round (128)

•  K 3 rounds straight

•  Bind off 

SLEEVES •  Put 40 st on needle, join new ball, pick up 2 stitches from underarm (these will not be real

stitches, but in the spaces between), place marker between 2 CO stitches (42), using

magic loop, join to knit in round

•  k 38 rounds straight

•  K2, LLI, K to two st before marker, RLI, k to end of round

•  K 6 rounds

•  repeat last 7 rounds 5 times (54)

•  K 10 rounds

•  change to US 8 needles and with angora yarn

•  K•  P

•  K2tog, YO 

•  K

•  P

•  Bind off
