This is the lanyard and visitors pass I received when I attended the Pokémon World Championships. The memories this brings me are of having fun with a community of people with the same interests as I and the nervousness of attending college for the first time. This was the last thing I did before I moved into my dorms and started college,

This is a plush Meowth which I had since before I can remember. I’ve always have had an attachment to Pokémon and this one is one of a few Pokémon that my parents actually know. I’ve kept this with me even to this day.

I bought this sombrero in the hometown where my parents grew up, Zamora, Michoacán. Whenever I need to dress up for an important Mexican celebration (a 15, grandmother’s birthday, etc). This hat is a very important artifact of my culture and I hold this possession very dear to me.

This necklace was a gift from my brother to me for my birthday. While the ornament was a gift from my brother, the chain was a gift from my mother. It was a chain previously from my grandmother’s old rosary. My parents understand that I am not as religious as they were, but they still wanted me to inherit the heirloom. I’m glad I get to ear a gift from both my brother and my mother.

I bought this headband when I first cut my long hair to donate. This particular one has a special meaning to me becuase it was the first one I opened when I bought a pack of 12. I’ve always been particularly fond of this color and I believe I look really good when I wear it.
