The FSM Basket Screen meets themost demanding specifications

The FSM Basket Screen was develo-ped to deal with particular pro-blems associated with sewage pre-treatment plant.

Parallel to the increasing demandsof users, FSM introduced modificati-ons to the basic design. These haveresulted in an optimum product forthe preliminary treatment of wastewater -providing high performancecoupled with low operating costs.

Functional principle:

The basket screen for installation insump shafts is based on the designof our grab bar screens.The basket of the screen is raisedand lowered in the shaft via anelectric hoist. The basket is guidedby two guide rails built into the shaftand four rollers fitted to the basket.The guides are curved above theoperating Level, which allows an au-tomatic emptying of the basketabove the dumpster. Final emptyingis carried out by hand with a rake. While emptying the basket at thetop a coarse bar screen is closingthe channel.

The drive is mounted on bracket onthe crossbeam of the frame andconsists of a wire rope drum withgeared motor. The hoist is providedwith limit switches for the motor atthe top and bottom positions of thebasket – the end positions can beadjusted as desired.

The screen is manually controlledvia a local control station with deadman´s switch for raising and lowe-ring the basket.
