AMERICAN CIVIL WAR Mathew Brady and his staff
of photographers exposes over 7,000 negatives of photographs taken through out the time of the Civil War.
ADOLPHE DISDERI 1819 - 1889
Known for his invention Carte de Visite, which started a wave of popularity with portrait photography in France.
COLOURED PHOTOGRAPHS James Clerk Maxwell (1831 –
1879) In 1861 he presented the worlds
first colour photograph by using red, blue and green filters, in the front of the camera.
THE KODAK COMPANY In 1888, the first Kodak
camera was created to have a roll of 20 foot long paper, enough to hold 100 2.5 inch circular photographs.
One year later roll-film was created.
