MAIN IMAGE The main image on the double page spread is of Rita Ora

who is making direct address with the camera, she is doing this to intrigue the reader. They have chose Rita Ora as she is a singer who has a very wide teen fan base, therefore it will grab the audiences attention. The double page spreads main image usually relates to the front cover, Rita Ora is featured both on the front cover and double page spread. The clothes she is wearing fits in well with the colour scheme of the page and the background, this is so the page looks more professional and fits in well.

They have deliberately chose Rita Ora as many teenage girls would have listened to her music, if not they would of seen her on TV shows such as the X factor. A female artist has been used as the magazine is for girls so by using a female artist they will intrigue the audience in to reading the article.

COLOUR SCHEME The main colour scheme for the double page spread is

purple blue and green, these colours have been chosen as they all go nicely with each other and also relate to the target audience who are teen girls.

MAIN TITLEo The main title is in a unique font and is the biggest text on

the page so it stands out. It is also in a bold font in black and white so it is eye catching and the first thing people read. The title ‘Real Rita’ has been deliberately chosen as finding out things about a famous celebrity is what teenage girls would be interested in. ‘Real’ has been used to show that the audience are finding out secrets about Rita that not many others know this will therefore intrigue the audience.

SECTIONS/COLUMNS Each section on the double page spread is under a different

title, this is so the reader can quickly see what section they want to read. “TV talent” and ‘True romantic’ have been used for titles as this will intrigue the target audience as they are interested in those type of things. Sections have been used so the page layout is more simple and professional. Having sections between each text allows the reader to quickly scan through each column to find what they are looking for.

SUBSIDIARY IMAGES The subsidiary images used on this double page spread are

advertising nail art. They have chose nail art as this is what the audience may be interested in and once they have read the article on the artist they may read the nail section. At the top right hand side of the page ‘Win Rita's rimmel nail collection’ has been used so the audience can get involved with the magazine itself and enter competitions. They have used nail collections as a prize for the competition as teenage girls would be interested in entering if the prize was relevant to them.

For the competitions you may have to go online and go on the magazines own website, therefore by advertising competitions there magazines online page may get more publicity.

TARGET AUDIENCE The target audience of the magazine can be shown through

the double page spread. On this magazine we can see the audience is girls as of the colours used, main images, and titles of each section.

The have used colours associated with girls such as light pink blue and green, the background of the page has been filled with these colours as the page stands out.
