Codes and conventions of a digipak advert:

• Name of The Artist: Most digipak have the artists name in a clear bold font, which is easy to see. This is used to catch the audiences attention.

• Album/Single Name: As well as the artists name, they usually have name of the album/single in a clear style. This could also be used to present their genre and appeal to a new audience.

• Release Date: If the album is not already out then the release date will be shown on the advert, however, if the album is already out then it will say something like ‘Out Now!’.

• Ratings: it is quite common for digipak adverts to have ratings and reviews, which are used to encourage a new audience to buy the music. These are not used by all genres and and more popular with pop music.

• Tour Dates: Not all artists put tour dates on their adverts, however, it can be a good way to promote their tours to their audience.
