PSYCHO ANALYSIS

A pretty lady having an ordinary shower not expecting to be attacked.

Antagonist coming shadily from behind to attack the women.

The dull lighting of the seen shows the thriller of the movie as thriller movies are often dull lighting.

Non-diegetic sound of the scary music in the background starting off with a slow pace and then getting faster and faster to build up to a crescendo of her getting attacked. This creates suspense.

Diegetic sound of the ordinary shower and then her getting attacked (heavy breathing and screaming) This created drama and action to the film.

PRISONERS ANALYSIS

The lighting of this scene is dull and dark. Usually this is how the lighting should be in all thrillers.

The protagonist is holding a knife interrogating the antagonist.

Also the smashed sink shows that there has been violence and torturing to get information out of the antagonist.

This is a MLS (Media Long Shot). This shot fits in all the action, drama and thriller in the scene.

The sound in this scene is all Diegetic sound. The sound off the hammer smashing against the sink and the wall.

DARK NIGHT RISES ANALYSIS The darkness indicates

that this is the Bane’s territory. Also, the darkness signifies that a tragedy may take place in this scene.

Batman seems to be losing the fight as Bane is comfortably winning. When he is confident with his smart plan to defeat Batman.

Medium Long Shot (MLS) used to show the fight, action and thriller of the scene.

The Protagonist ‘Batman is wearing a super hero outfit and Bane is dressed as the bad guy in the movie with the scary mask over his face.The sound in the scene is both diegetic and

non-diegetic. The diegetic sound will be the fighting noise, however the non-diegetic sound is the post production sound of the tragic music of the demographics’ favor losing losing a fight to Bane.
