From 18 - 20 November 2014, specialists from the identification
sector gathered at Euro ID exhibition and ID World International
Congress. For the second year running Frankfurt am Main in
Germany hosted this showcase for identification innovation and
technologies.
Leading companies from Germany and abroad present their products
and solutions at the exhibition. Together with its internationally
oriented ID World International Congress, Euro ID exhibition offers
the ideal platform for discussions between producers and users.
A variety of events await the trade visitors and conference delegates:
lectures, panel discussions, ID Awards and poster display, the plenary
session, CEO Vision, and the spotlights as well as the Tracking &
Tracing Theatre.
82 companies took part this year, of which 27 were from abroad. The
17.4 % rise in the number of international companies from last year
attests the significance of this event on the international stage. And
the quality of the 1,032 trade visitors was again very high.
Both the exhibitors and the visitors expressed their satisfaction with
the event. Almost 60.0 % of the exhibitors are already planning to
participate once again this year at the Euro ID exhibition. The
opportunities for customer liaison and networking during the event
proved to be extremely successful for most of the exhibitors. The
majority of trade visitors are planning to visit the event in 2015 and
will be recommending the Euro ID exhibition to colleagues and
customers.

»and current projects. We will be exhibiting again in 2015.«
»Our company made contact with 20 relevant companies at the Euro ID trade fair, which we had never had contact with before. This is a very promising result for us and proves how important the event is for the sector.«
»Exhibiting at Euro ID is an annual fixture in our event planning. This is where we meet existing customers, thanks to its central location, and acquire new customers who visit this exhibition specifically because of its concentrated RFID expertise. We have also answered exciting queries this year about our special RFID system components from both market leaders and start-up companies.«
»Euro ID is the only trade fair, which has automatic identification and data collection as its main topics. These technologies cut across all sectors, as many processes, both internally within and external to a company, are controlled by identification and data collection.«
»We are glad to be exhibiting again at Euro ID. This is where we come to meet creative identification innovators, looking for products and solutions offering critical competitive advantage in the future through specific projects in in their sector. As a producer of sensors EURO ID is the right platform for us to present "Sensor Intelligence" with the focus on its application irrespective of the technologies used, e.g. 1D barcodes, 2D codes or RFID.«
»We received lots of feedback from trade visitors on our RFID/NFC product portfolio at our exhibition stand this year and we were able to generate over the three days of the exhibition a wide range of project enquiries from a great variety of application areas and sectors.«
»An excellent opportunity for meeting up with existing customers and introducing new products.«
I know of hardly any exhibition which is so in touch with customers

Euro ID and ID World Int. Congress 2014 – Highlights
African Delegation
CEO Vision and Plenary Session
ID Award – »And the winners are…?!«
Identification technology is key for African countries, and investors are
looking for government bodies from Africa. Therefore African govern-
ment representatives and key decision makers within the ID techno-
logy came to Frankfurt under the African Government & Diplomat
program. Of these, both the exhibitors and the African guests have
benefited.
All visitors of the Euro ID exhibition 2014 as well as conference dele-
gates had the possibility to participate for free at the Plenary Session
and talked to the CEO Vision discussion in detail with the panel dis-
cussion participants. Both points of program came across great
approval, and offered an outlook for the future of identification.
The prestigious ID Award was presented at this year's Euro ID
exhibition, at an exclusive gala dinner on 18 November 2014. The
award recognizes outstanding innovation and underlines the growing
and cross-sectoral importance of technologies for identifying people
and objects. An independent panel of experts selected the winners
among all submissions.
The winners and categories:
– ams AG (RFID Technologies and Applications)
– SICK Vertriebs-GmbH, subsidiary of SICK AG
(Optical Identification)
– Morpho (Secure Identity)
– smart-TEC GmbH & Co. KG (Innovative Company)

The Community meets at the Get-together
Shaping the future at the Exhibition forum
Tracking + Tracing Theatre – ID at work
At the first day of the event, Mesago Messe Frankfurt GmbH invited
all exhibitors, speakers and conference delegates to the exhibitor
party and hence created a community get-together in a relaxed
atmosphere. This was the place were interesting contacts were
made.
The Euro ID forum become to be very popular amongst exhibitors
and visitors. Lectures of exhibitors and panel discussions offered a
variety of gripping topics.
Lively debates at the exhibition forum took place on the first exhibiton
day about »Serialisierung von Pharmaprodukten« presented by Prof.
Dr. Frank Gillert, as well as about »Industry 4.0« presented by Wolf-
Rüdiger Hansen, on the second exhibiton day about »Biometrics
goes mobile« presented and organized by Mr. Max Snijder and on the
third exhibiton day about »Near Field Communication« presented and
organized by Dr. Jörg Schmidt. A special highlight this year was the
panel discussion held by Mr. Armin Nilles about »Damit das
Smartphone nicht zum Spion wird!«. This lecture supported the
important role of identification in the daily life situations.
The Tracking & Tracing Theatre (T&TT) offers a live scenario demon-
strating the cross-sector application of autoID and RTLS technologies
for intra and intercompany procedures. It will enable the trade
audience to gain practical insight into the increased transparency of
these technologies.
Several times a day the visitors were led through the T&TT to find out
more about the interaction between technology, software systems
and business processes as part of a real life demo process.
»From this visitors won new insights into the potential benefits of ID
technologies and learned more efficiently implement the requirements
in their companies,« explains Wolf-Ruediger Hansen, CEO of AIM-D,
Lampertheim.
