Welding inspection is the primary function of all the QA/ QC mechanical field such as oil
and natural gas , gas oil separation plant ( GOSP), refineries, pipelines, power plants, ship
building, chemical plants, fertilizers, automobiles, nuclear plants, aerospace, steel plants,
offshore installation etc.
A welding inspector should have thorough knowledge in welding, welding methods
processes, interpretation of quality plans and specification, verification of welder and
procedure, production checks, keeping records and reports, defects identification, NDT,
WPS, contractor relationship, job follow ups, logbook entries and more over a valid
qualified certification.
