Do you remember when you were first

told you were not

creative?

was it by an expert

who knew you really really well,

had observed you over a long time,and who was

looking out for you?

OR

was it by a busy, unthinking, or unkind

individual who does not even remember

doing it?

i amalmost certain

it was the latter,

Do you speak?

Do you work? Do you make friends?

Do you cook?

Do you raise children? Do you read?

Do you build?Do you organize?

Do you decide?

Do you get dressed?Do you solve problems?

Do you adjust?

so, what does creative look like?

creating comes in all shapes and

sizes

and all colors

and can happen in our many

situations

working

playingsleeping

reading

listeningtrying

testingstudyingjoking

writing

making

remaking

teaching

learning

relating telling

solving recognizingfailing

struggling

growing

interpreting

translating applying

tweaking

creative often looks or feels

different than you were taught and believe

(yes, it may be something other than painting or drawing)

and that other part that still bothers you...

the work does not come out perfect the first time

(like you and I, but a whole lot more and on purpose)

bottom line:creative is messy

(we just usually see an end product after the clean up)

so, what makes someone creative?

creating.

there was a time you did that without thinking

and

there is a spark

still inside you that believes

you can.

it may require COURAGE

to create again..

but the choice is yours

and

yours only...

the world is missing what you can do...

soand start creating

again!
