Communication is key

• You need to know if targets / expectations are not being met

• We need to know about relevant issues outside school

• Your son’s tutor is the first port of call

Key Dates• Progress Card 1: 16th October

• Progress Card 2: 11th December

• Mock Exams: 4th - 15th January

• Mock Results Day:28th January

• Annual Reports: 8th February

• Parents’ Evening: Thur 11th February

• Deadline for A-Level Choices: 29th February

• GCSEs begin: 9th May

What you can do…

• Check and sign diary every week.

• Provide a clean, quiet, desk space with a lamp and paper for private study.

What you can do…

• Support his organisation:- keep folders (with dividers) at home- have somewhere safe to store them

• Buy additional reading materials/study guides for subjects and encourage independent learning (10-12.5 hours per week).

• Be positive.
