Who?You will instruct each student with

the most effective strategies for his or her learning profile.

Your class will include students who have a wealth of background experiences and culture to share. DI helps you tap into those resources,

while addressing mandatory instructional objectives.

How?Flexible grouping is  at  the heart of DI.

varying grouping allows one to teach to students' strengths by considering intelligences, skills, readiness and interests as groups are established.

What else?You will have 30 minutes to make and take

activities as you research various possible DI strategies for your class…

i.e., discover your differentiation buddies and talk!

Create a “book bag” to stash your DI treasures.Perform 30 second rap expressing background knowledge about DI.

Side Dishes (Select at Least Two) Create a cube for content area that you teach.Create a spinner for content area that you teach.Select a choice board that might work with your students and discuss

with colleague.Make a book pertaining to your instruction.Review Tea Party strategy and propose an area where this prereading

would benefit your grade level.Create a rubric that would work to assess student growth using DI

strategies.Dessert (Optional)

Write 3+s and a Wish for workshop leaders.
