• Keep sanitary water separate from Process water

• Separate soils whenever possible including:

• Skin, stems, leaves

• Sedimentation from fermentation tanks

• Lees

• Aeration is recommended

• Design for 2-3 days retention time

Who do I need to call?

Discharge to Municipal system?

• Contact municipality

• No DEQ permit required

Discharge to Land or subsurface?

• Contact DEQ, Groundwater Permit Section

Process Wastewater needs a DEQ Permit(Not going to a Municipality)
