Get your lawn back on track with reseeding!

What if we told you we could help you get back to the thick, lush, green lawn you’ve always wanted by completed one simple task? That task is reseeding. Similar to any household product, over time, turf becomes old and needs to get replaced. Have dogs? What about kids? We love them very much; but they tend to be rough on the turf.

Why Reseed?

Worn-out lawns invite unwanted guests such as diseases and weeds. Reseeding is a fast, simple and inexpensive way to bring your lawn back to life and gain the thick, lush green lawn you’ve missed. It’s also another way you can rejuvenate your turf without tearing everything out and starting over. Reseeding also gives you the opportunity to introduce new types of grass depending on your climate zone.

Grasses and Climate Zones

The kind of care and grass your lawn needs depends on where you reside. Located below is a coded map where you choose the ideal grass seed for your area. In the Philadelphia tri-state area we tend to use Tall Fescue and Rye Grass and Blue Grass.

Rye Grass

Germination period: 6-30 days. Green color (turns brown in hot weather). Fine and thick characteristics. Requires good drainage, dry earth, acid soil. Grows in full sun and cool temperate weather. Excellent for general utility, good for play areas, slops and terraces.

Turf Type, Tall Fescue

Germination Period: 10-14 days. Dark green in color. Thick coarse-like characteristics. Requires good drainage and acid soil. Grows in full sun and light shade within cool temperate climates. Good for quick cover due to short germination period.
