Wordpress

To install wordpress, make sure your hosting has one-click software installer

eg

uk.godaddy.com/hosting/web-hosting

charges £3 + VAT per month increasing to £5 per month

Your host will give you login info for your control panel eg cpanel

You should find a wordpress installer icon

Fill in the formDelete “wp” in the “in directory” box

Click install button

That is it.

• Wait a bit, and/or clear your cache, and your new wordpress site will appear.

• Any problems, phone your host tech support

Can add a new free themeclick appearance/themes/add

Menu is on left of admin area

Click “posts” and can see all your posts

Click pages, and can add pages

Can choose one from thousands of free or cheap themes

Can add and edit widgets in the sidebar

You can add plugins

You can add new users with fewer permissions

You can add new users and choose what role they have (ie ability to do different things)
