God is Good ...
Hope this finds everyone doing fine during these
hot days! Do you remember how nice it was last
winter?
If you missed the game party and watermelon,
you missed a blessing. We have some that are
progressing along in 42, and it is hard to beat
them. When you do beat them, they look like
they are in a daze. The same thing in chicken
foot. I have decided that you better watch the one
keeping the score closely and maybe count your
neighbor’s dots on each domino for them!! Just
joking, glad you can have fun in both of these
games.
Since we have some big fisherman in our group, I
think that I am learning about catching the big
ones. A friend from Oklahoma sent me an old
book about Texas, and I ran across something
interesting about fishing and telling someone how
big the catch was.
An Easterner went fishing with a Texan in the
gulf. The Texan landed a huge tarpon.
“How big do you suppose he is?” inquired the
visitor excitedly?
“About fifteen inches,” replied the Texan.
“Why, man, he is bigger than you are! What do
you mean by fifteen inches?”
“Well,” replied the Texan, “down here we find it
easier to get people to believe us if we
just measure the distance between
their eyes.”
Have a great week and stay COOL,

The 4th of July
236 years ago...on July 4th, 1776
This great nation,
the United States of America,
In a struggle for what was right and free,
Was proudly born ...
May we celebrate that precious freedom
For which our forbearers
fought so bravely ...
The freedom that is inherent
In the Stars and Stripes,
our revered flag ...
Celebrate Freedom This Fourth of July!
(No church activities that night—Enjoy being with your family.)

Something to Think About ...
A bicycle can’t stand alone, it is two tired.
A will is a dead giveaway.
A chicken crossing the road: poultry in motion.
When a clock is hungry, it goes back for seconds.
The guy who fell into an upholstery machine was
fully recovered.
A boiled egg is hard to beat.
He had a photographic memory which was never
developed.
Those who get too big for their britches will be
exposed in the end.
When you’ve seen one shopping center, you have
seen a mall.
When she saw her first strands of gray hair, she
thought she would dye.
Bakers trade bread recipes on a knead to know
basis.
Show me a piano falling down a mine shaft and I
will show you A-flat miner.
A plateau is a mild form of flattery.
A calendar’s days are numbered.
