In a nutshell, user experience involves the entirety of an end-user’s interaction with the company, its services, and its products including the practical, experiential, affective, and meaningful aspects of human interaction and product ownership.

It also includes the user’s perceptions of aspects such as utility, ease of use and efficiency.

It may be subjective in nature to the extent of individual perception and thought in relation to the interactive design system.

User experience is a dynamic, modifiable practice that changes and adapts in relation to usage circumstances and individual systems.

An exceptional user experience is geared to meet the exact needs of the user. Simplicity and elegance form an integral part of products that are a joy to own and use. True user experience goes beyond UX / UI development by providing customers what they think they want.

To achieve a high-quality user experience, a seamless merging of the services of multiple disciplines, including engineering, marketing, graphical and industrial design, and interface design are essential for the user facing interactive design.

Even though it is an extremely important part of the user experience vertical, it is important to distinguish user experience from user interface (UI). Consider a website with restaurant reviews – even if the UI for finding a restaurant is perfect, the UX will be poor for a user who wants information about a small independent establishment if the underlying database only contains top restaurants only.

There are many factors that influence user experience of a system. In order to address the diversity based on the diversity of users, factors that influence the user’s experience can be distinctly classified into three main categories: previous experience, system properties, and usage context.

A thorough understanding of typical users, contexts of usage, resulting interactions and emotions are basic parameters of an interactive design aimed at an exceptional user experience.
