Work Habits and BehaviorWork habit and behavior grades are determined by totaling infractions. Be assured that one difficult week will have little or no negative impact on the final grade. However, multiple unsatisfactory weeks will result in a lower final grade. The basic weekly scale for work habits and behavior is as follows:

14 Week ScaleSince the first Trimester is 14 weeks, the following scale will be implemented:

Work Habits Behavior

0 – 14 Infractions = A 0 -7 Infractions = A

15 – 28 Infractions = A- 8-14Infractions = A-

29 – 42 Infractions = B+ 15 - 21 Infractions = B+

43-56 Infractions = B 22 - 28 Infractions = B

57-70 Infractions = B- 29 - 35 Infractions = B-

71 – 84 Infractions = C+ 36 - 42 Infractions = C+

85 – 98 Infractions = C 43 - 49 Infractions = C

99 – 112 Infractions = C- 50 - 56 Infractions = C-

113 – 126 Infractions = D 57 - 63 Infractions = D

127+ Infractions = F 64+ Infractions = F

Pink Slips/Honor Roll StatusIf a student receives between 5 – 9 Work Habit

infractions or 3 – 4 Behavior infractions in a week, a Pink Progress Slip will be sent home for student’s parent(s) to sign. This slip is to let the parent(s) know that while the student is not receiving a detention, there is some concern with his/her work habits and/or behavior grade.

Please remember, students must maintain a minimum of a B- in Work Habits and Behavior, as well as a G.P.A. of 2.5 (no F’s) in core academic subject areas, to participate in extracurricular activities. Also, please be aware that work habits and behavior grades affect Honor Roll status. For example, if a student has A’s in core subjects but a B+ in work habits or behavior, he/she is not eligible for Principal’s (A) Honor Roll.
