Finger Paintings: Set 1

Vidya Ramanan Vidya started drawing and sketching from a very young age. She happened to

spend lot of time with her grandparents as a child. They recognized her talent and

encouraged her, sending her to art schools. Vidya chose 'Art' as her elective not

only in school but also in college. She decided on her own without telling anybody!

She was very sure that she wanted to be an artist. However for undergraduate degree

she chose Psychology and for Masters the choice was Social Work.

She was wise in deciding to follow Art as a serious hobby. She has tried all types

of painting and sketching: water color, oil, crayons, pencil and charcoal. Some of her

large paintings adorn the homes of her aunts.

In the last year she decided to try computer-aided art. With simple doodle-style

movements on her iPad, she can generate very intricate complex patterns of art. She

has made about 100 finger paints so far. A selected set of finger paints is attached.
