Obedience entries close at 9:00 P.M. on Tuesday, October 20 or when an Obedience Judge’s assignment

has reached seven (7) hours of judging, based on the formula of 8 Novice, 7 Open and 6 Utility dogs per

hour, whichever comes first.

Bitches in season are not permitted to compete. Where a bitch comes in to season after entry of the bitch

has been submitted to the Trial Secretary and a Veteranarian’s certificate that the bitch was in season within

the ten-day period preceding the trial is delivered to or reaches the Trial Secretary before the date of the trial,

the Trial-giving Club will refund entry, service charges and listing fees. / Les femelles en chaleur ne sont pas

Please note that fees are due and payable in Canadian dollars. Due to consistently fluctuating currency

of the entry and no exchange will be refunded to the exhibitor. Please do not mark cheques “Payable in

IN TRANSIT AREA / ESPACE EN TRANSIT

There will be an “In Transit’ area for dogs which are either en route to or from other shows. No dog may be

placed in this area if it is entered at the show. Only dogs that are registered or eligible to be shown under

CKC Rules can use the “In Transit area. Owners or Agents who wish to use this facility, please see the

Show Superintendent upon arrival at the show.

Il y aura un espace réservé “en transit” pour les chiens en route vers ou de l’exposition et no inscrits à

l’exposition. Aucun chien ne peut être placé dans cet espace s’il est instrit à l’exposition. Seul les chiens

entregistrés et éligibles à être présentés sous les règlements du CCC peuvent se servir de cet espace. Les

propriètaires ou agents qui souhaitent s’en servir, doivent voir le surintendent de l’exposition à leur arrivée.

CAMPING

No Electricity will be available. Water will be available to fill RVs. Parking for campers will be available at

the Show Site from noon, Thursday, November 5th . No charge for camping. An outside exercise area is

available at the rear of the parking area.

Un espace est prévu pour le campement de nuit sans éléctricité. Il y a de l’eau pour remplir les RV’s

seulement.. Les campeurs sont acceptés à compter du jeudi 5 novembre après midi, sans frais.

Catalogue. Classes offered will be: Pee Wee, Junior Novice, Junior Open, Intermediate Novice,

Intermediate Open, Senior Novice, Senior Open. Prize will be awarded to first place in each category.

Rosettes for all placements. PeeWee non competing. Best Overall Junior will receive a prize and a rosette.

La compétition des jeunes manieurs de tiendra dimanche après-midi seulement, dans la première enceinte

CHAMPIONS & CHAMPIONSHIP POINTS

SECTION 1: A dog awarded WINNERS at a championship show held under these Dog Show Rules shallbe credited with a number of championship points (ranging from 0 to 5) and the determination of the numberof championship points to be credited to a dog awarded WINNERS shall be as provided hereunder.

SECTION 2: The schedule to be employed in the determination of the number of points to be allocated adog awarded WINNERS shall be as follows: Dogs Competing: 1 2 3-5 6-9 10-12 13 or morePOINTS ALLOCATED* 0 1 2 3 4 5*Includes the dog awarded WINNERS

To determine the numbers of championship points earned by a dog awarded WINNERS total all the dogsin competition which the dog defeated, directly or indirectly, for the highest of the following official breedawards: Winners, Best of Winners, Best of Breed or Best of Opposite Sex and then consult the scheduleset forth above. A class dog awarded Best In Show at an all-breed championship show will be credited with five pointsinclusive of any points earned at the breed or group level. In no case may a dog earn more than five pointsat any single show.

THE DAY OF THE SHOW

1. The person accompanying the dog MUST show the identification card before the dog is allowed on the

Show premises. The ID card will serve as admission ticket. PLEASE MAINTAIN FOR DURATION OF

THE SHOW.

2. All dogs MUST be exercised in the exercise rings provided for that purpose. Private exercise pens will

be allowed if space permits. Exhibitors may be asked to remove private pens during show hours.

3. The Show Committee will use due care and diligence for the welfare of the dogs and the exhibitors but

will not be responsible for, or assume any liability in the event of an accident of other misfortune to

either dogs or exhibitors or patrons. If, because of riot, civil disturbance or other acts beyond the control

of the management, it is impossible to open or to complete the show, no refund of entry fees will be

made.

4. THERE WILL BE NO INDIVIDUAL DOGS CALLED TO THE RING BY LOUD SPEAKER. Times on the

judging schedule will be broken down hourly into individual breeds. Extra copies will be available at the

show Secretary’s table. It is up to the exhibitor to have his dogs at ringside at the specified time.

Delays waiting for dogs will not be possible; handlers with several breeds must arrange for alternate

handlers if judging times conflict.

GENERAL

1. Only dogs which are already registered in the Canadian Kennel Club Stud Book, or are eligible for such

registration, can be entered.

2. To comply with instructions issued by the Canadian Kennel Club, we will be unable to accept any entry

reaching our Show Secretary after the official closing date published in this Premium List.

3. No entry will be accepted unless all particulars called for on the entry form are shown theron.

INCOMPLETE ENTRIES WILL BE RETURNED.

4. NO ENTRY WILL BE ACCEPTED UNLESS ACCOMPANIED BY ENTRY FEES.

5. TELEPHONE AND TELEGRAPH ENTRIES CANNOT BE ACCEPTED.

6. Exhibitors must abide by errors made in entering thier dogs regardless of how or by whom the entries

were made.

7. U.K.C. reserves the right to refuse any entry, subject to C.K.C.Dog Show Rules

8. The Show Superintendent will be in full charge of the show which will be governed by C.K.C. Rules.

9. Identification Cards and Judging Schedules will be mailed as soon as possible after entries close.

Should these not be received by the exhibitor within a reasonable time, please notify the Show

Secretary.

10. Dogs need only arrive 15 minutes before scheduled judging time. It is the responsibility of the exhibitor

to have the dog in the ring when the dog’s class is scheduled for judging.

11. Dogs will not be required to pass veterinary inspection.

12. Since the Club is not responsible for the pictures taken by the Show Photographer, please direct any

communication regarding photographs to the photographer.

ATTENTION ALL FOREIGN EXHIBITORS

To obtain an ERN simply do the following:

- Send a photocopy of the dog's registration certificate reflecting current ownership - with a written

request for an ERN.

- Include full payment in the amount of $58.50. Accounts may be paid with personal or business cheque,

money order, Visa or Mastercard. For Non-Members please note that if paying by cheque, the cheque

must be certified. Non-residents of Canada please note that discounted cheques or money orders will

not be accepted due to fluctuating currency rates.

- Provide us with your full return address.

- Faxed requests will be accepted. Please include your VISA/MasterCard number, e xp i r y d a t e ,

cardholder's name and signature.

- An ERN must be obtained within 30 day of obtaining points, awards or scores to avoid cancellation.

If factors beyond your control prohibits this or presents a problem, please send a written request for a

30 day extension.

It shall be the duty and obligation of the show giving club to see that a judge, club official, volunteer, or any

participant at an event is not subject to indignities. The Conformation Show Committee Chair shall promptly

report to the CKC any infringement of this regulation, and the Discipline Committee shall have the authority

to take such action as it deems fit on receipt of a report indicating that this has occurred. (See Section 19.7)

Comité de discipline pourra alors prendre action de la façon qu’il jugera appropriée sur réception d’un

rapport présentant l’infraction a ce règlement. Une copie de ce règlement doit être placée de façon lisible

dans chaque programme officiel et chaque catalogue.

Important

The Non-Member Participation Fee applies to dogs wholly owned by a resident of Canada who is not a

member of the CKC; it is not applicable to CKC members or dogs co-owned with a CKC member. In order

for the title to be awarded, the non-member will have a choice to either become a CKC member or pay the

Non-Member Participation Fee. Failure to comply within 30 days of notification will result in the title being

withheld and the dog cannot be moved up to the next level. (For a Membership application, please go to

www.ckc.ca under CKC Services and Forms On-Line). The Non-Member Participation Fee is fee paid in the

calendar year (January – December) in which the dog achieved its title and/or titles.

membres du CCC résidant au Canada. Ce droit ne s’applique pas aux membres du CCC ou aux chiens dont

un des copropriétaires est membre du CCC. Pour avoir droit au titre, les non-membres ont le choix de payer

le droit annuel de participation pour non-membre ou de devenir membre du CCC. Le titre sera retenu si le

paiement du droit de non-participation n’est pas reçu dans un délai de 30 jours de la notification et le chien

ne pourra pas passer au prochain niveau. (Un formulaire de demande d’adhésion au CCC est disponible

à www.ckc.ca sous la rubrique Services aux membres/Formulaires.) Le droit annuel de participation pour

non-membre est basé sur l’année civile (de janvier à décembre) au cours de laquelle le chien s’est mérité
